Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: Does the forums recognize spambots?

Nope, but as all spam bots post predictable things then it shouldn't be that hard.
Anything to do with passports, legal documents, marriage and phone numbers should be detected when a user has less than 10 posts.

Diff55 said that the forums do and bot blocker stops hundreds of bots on a daily basis and just single ones of them get past it

lol. Are they really bots or users who are manually crapping on the forums? I mean, I'd just throw another captcha for the first post. But, if they're really a person pasting random crap, then filtering keywords would probably be a good idea

If they ARE a user, making them think they actually posted might be useful

I remember this last night like at 11:00 pm. It was about finding love. I reported it. This isn't a bot it is someone who copy and paste. Not sure why they pick this forum because theirs like a population of 50.

Re: Does the forums recognize spambots?

I'm fine with and at one point I think I attempted to block out posts with the words "license" "passport" "bungalow" and similar words.

Be carefull with blocking 'password'. You don't want users to get banned when the ask how to chance it //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/wink
