Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

EDIT: ive let the public know about Zoey's moderation so my job is done. this should probably just stay in the irc. locked.
In IRC, I, JaWapa, and Kaslai jokingly added ".add" to the beginning of our sentences. Zoey started to kick us, and even bans us several, simply because it was "annoying". This is not listed in the rules, and basing many kicks and bans. Different55 seems not to care about the mod abuse. Even after I become unbanned and join back, I ask (with more sentences starting with ".add") why she is doing this, and she refuses to answer and keeps bankicking me. JaWapa creates a topic in off-topic about this, but it gets locked for some reason (spam? not really, ive seen topics with less content in the original post, so im not sure why it got locked honestly). Of course, it gets silentlocked so were just left to spectulate about it. We cannot, and should not, accept such low standards for moderation.
Perhaps I am causing "drama" by posting this publicly on the forum. Considering, however, that this is public behaviour, and that I am unable to speak with her even if I try to do so in the channel, I think the public deserves to know Zoey's moderation techniques.
In before ban and silentlock. At least I accomplished my task of letting people know the truth about Zoey2070 regardless of what happens as a result.

I have #win, but nobody really goes there. Although its still a winner channel, people just dont know it. Yeah.
Also, if I get banned for this, just consider this a warning for what other bad things may happen in the future.

yes n1kf you are a saviiour forever shall we know of the time n1kf warned us of the future tragedies of people getting kicked

a) forum =/= irc
b) you conveniently left out the fact that you spammed the quote-bot immediately beforehand, but that's okay, i've included this hour long debacle here:
c) jawapa spammed the forums is purposely trying to incite drama so
i'm heavily considering closing this topic since you're contributing to this "trying to incite drama" thing but... meh

I dont think that annoying itself is being against the rules. Even if it is, I'm not sure how Zoey2070 could get annoyed to that level.

I considered leaving it out, but I considered it unnecessary since most of your banning and kicking seemed to be based more-so on the pretend quotespamming than the actual qutoespamming.
Edit:
<@Zoey2070> i'm not even going to bother replying
<@Zoey2070> because this is so dumb lmfao
Well thats a very helpful response

quote spamming and pretend quote spamming is still spamming aka kick

How is "pretend quote spamming" that bad? Its just adding five characters to the beginning of each of your message. It still can .add to the conversation as long as you dont intentionally try to bog the chat down.
Edit: Also apparently just adding ".add" to the beginning of three messages is worth having a ban extended for another thirty sixty minutes. If you ask me I honestly think thats disproportionate.
Another edit: The other Kirby just said one single line with ".add" at the beginning as a joke and he got banned. Rest in peace both Kirby, and decent moderation.
Another another edit: Zoeys shown to not be helpful, and Different isnt responding to my private messages. Impressive moderation you got there.

Different isnt responding to my private messages

And when you don't live your life attached at the hip to a computer it happens.
Either way, I'm fine with what happened.. It was annoying. Having a stupidly long nickname isn't against the rules either but you can bet your booty we'll kick (and eventually ban if you're being a massive turd about it) you for it.

You could always get more staff members if thats the problem. Either that or have Zoey be opened to conversation about the rules.

If somebodys being annoying but still otherwise not spamming you can always mute them. Kicking and banning multiple people just because saying ".add" annoyed an OP sounds bizarre in my head. Also, if you ban people for being slightly annoying, the "general nuisance" problem returns...

not posting it on the forum = perhaps having a discussion or two in IRC, but being forgotten in the end
posting it on the forum = making drama
Update: Kaslai got kicked once, as well as banned for ten minutes for having three ".add" messages. Even when Kaslai asks why, Zoey just responds "please stop".
Another update: Zoey banned me for another hour by still saying ".add", even as I try to converse with her.

Have you even read the IRC rules?
http://txti.es/eeforums-rules2
You're breaking 3 rules here:
Do not spam -- It's useless content that adds extra lines to the chat because of the bot. By prefixing every line with .add, especially when the bot is running, you are cluttering the chat and bot with useless drivel.
Do not abuse bots -- This was done all in the first place to abuse our quotebot
Keep the peace -- At this point you're obviously just trying to stir some trouble. That is the only reason at this point that you'd stick to prefixing everything with .add, you're trying to prove some sort of point against the moderation for the sake of causing trouble. That is reason enough to get rid of you for a short while.
There's no arguing that action taken wasn't justified. You're breaking multiple rules at once just to be a pain. It's not like you don't have a history of causing trouble in the chat just so you can complain about being kicked for spamming.
EDIT: not to mention that by continuing to prefix every message with ".add" it further bars us from getting the quotebot back up and running. If you're going to continue to make a feature unusable for everybody else, it's best to get rid of that completely unnecessary behavior so that we can actually use that feature.

Why would you do it just to purposefully annoy her anyways, like, no one likes you dude.
Considering I was effectively the instigator of all this butthurt, I figured I'd weigh in.
I added one real quote, one dubious quote that I still wouldn't consider spam, and one spam quote. Sure. I broke the fourth rule one or two times, depending on how you wish to count it.
I have not spammed (3-4 lines of playful garbage is far from spam; if that was enough for a ban, Bimps would have been permabanned ages ago), and I have not abused the bot any further than what I have already mentioned.
I have clearly stated that prepending '.add' to my messages was entirely to serve as a constant reminder that I wish to have the bot back. I have been banned multiple times for causing 'drama' even though the only drama at the start was from Zoey2070 being triggered by an extra word at the beginning of my lines. N1KF and JaWapa just ran with it afterwards. From what I see in the logs, the only person who was genuinely in violation of the rules (to the point at which a ban was justified) was JaWapa.
I would consider Zoey being in violation of the "keep the peace" rule, because she started handing out bans to people who were not in violation of the rules*; in that regard, she was the first one to throw a stone.
* Technically, N1KF and I were in violation of the bot abuse rule at the start. However; the scope of the rule breakage was very limited, and regardless of whether or not the initial kickbans were warranted, could not justify any of the further bans.
It's no secret that when I got on this morning I continued to do it strictly to annoy Zoey2070 though. At that point I was just annoyed with how violently she reacted to the entire situation, and I think Different and Bobithan are in the wrong for affirmatively backing her actions.

There is a difference here though. A 30 character nick can have far-reaching effects on the UI of people in the channel; simply extending the wordcount of a line by one has zero impact on the UI, other than the possibility of the line wrapping and causing it to take one more line in the scrollback than it might otherwise use. And yet, one word responses are okay, and I could fill all of my lines with extraneous words and that's okay.
What is wrong with pretending to abuse a bot which isn't even there, after having clearly stated my intentions for doing so?

tbqh I was fine with what you were doing. I thought it'd even be entertaining to see how long you kept it up. It was what happened when people took off with it just to be annoying that I have a problem with.
