Add an ability to undo sending a message and edit it within a minute.
Allow more letters, in fact it is an email-like message so you should be able to send a lot of letters. This was mentioned before though.
Add message preview.
Show your sent messages.

The number of characters can only be so much. There are limits on how much can be stored in the database per object.
