For some reason, whenever I quote an image, by highlighting and pressing quick quote, it just gives me:

I believe this is only for imgur pictures but not sure.

can't really be fixed. you'd need to build a HTML->BBCode converter in javascript and parse every selected element and that's way out of my skill level. IIRC jonathan and hummerz gave it a try and it didn't go well.

Yeah, highlighting takes the raw text as input, without any BBcode tags, but I tried to get around it, with no real success.
The only BBcode-included text is generated directly inside some inline Javascript, which makes quickquote with no highlight still working: it just takes the content of the whole string and puts it in the reply field.
The thing is, there's nothing to link that BBcode text with the highlight text, so you're out of luck.

If you want to do a hacky solution that really doesn't help blind people, persuade different to change the alt text to the bbcode. Then you'll have your intact quick-quote setup.

I had forgotten about that trip tho. Didn't it end up working? I don't recall.
