Settings
I've been too lazy to make the graphics so here is just the explanation what can be found in settings:

• Show/hide time of the message

• Resize the text

• Smileys in chat (on/off)

We already have a world chat, but with this chatroom the overview of the whole chat is nicer because there is more space for people chatting.
And we already have the private chats, but with this feature private chatting would be much easier.
Lobby/global chat: by lobby if you mean chatrooms of all the worlds in the lobby - I guess this is good. But if you mean like a full server chat - I don't think it would be that good, if now 300 people are chatting over one another it would be a mess, imagine in a time 1000+ people

we dont really need more chat integration, since half the players only play ee for the chat. hey let's just get rid of the worlds and make ee a chat room

I'd prefer to be able to hide the whole chatbar to have a bigger view.

it is not possible, many maps built for this resolution, if you change it , toy would see , what owner doesnt want

An in-game chat room? I like this idea, much better than the alternative that everyone used to do... (putting tinychat links everywhere in every single world)
