Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Thinking...

Are you currently thinking?
Did you think before you clicked on the topic?
Are you thinking about what I'm saying?
Or are you processing information written on a screen?
Did you process that lightly colored bubble as a sign of a new topic and instantly click?
Are you processing words on a page?

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/process?s=t -

Process - a systematic series of actions directed to some end

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/think?s=t -

Think - to have a conscious mind, to some extent of reasoning, remembering experiences, making rational decisions, etc.

So, were you thinking or processing information?
What about machines? Do they think or process?
Well, machines can read code off of the website seeing that the bubble has the certain code to mean there are new topics/posts.
Humans look for some signature of a topic, remembered from memory or from common sense and clicks on it meaning a there are new topics/posts.

I mean, think about it. Or, are you processing the information?
Do you think machines think or process?
Do you think humans think or process?
Before you answer think for humans and process for machines, I want you to logically decide - or think about it. Or do I want you to base an answer off of given data - process about it?

Re: Thinking...

There's multiple definitions for "think" and "process"... so, while you believe yourself to be spouting some extravagant words of wisdom and philosophical wonder, I disagree.

At least, that's my inference. It seems you're trying to yank some philosophical cords in people... but you're really just weighing the definitions of two words.

Or am I misinterpreting your ramble?

Re: Thinking...

Thinking doesn't always have to be like apparent.
Computers have background processes, humans have background thoughts.

Re: Thinking...

Um, thinking and processing are not opposites. I don't get the point you are making. A process can be anything. Thinking is a process. It depends on your definition, but I don't think machines can think because they are not conscious.

They aren't, tho. Processing is following a set of instructions, thinking is super unstructured by comparison.
