Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Bikes, Skateboards, and Sidewalk Ridges by proxy

I am considering supporting the creation of more significant sidewalk ridges. If the ridges are built in a way so that bikes and skateboards sort of hit them enough or something to make a sound, I would be able to tell when a bike is behind me and I could avoid it.

However I wonder if having these significant enough ridges would be detrimental to the person riding a bike or a skateboard. I do not ride a bike or a skateboard so I do not know if it would be a problem. Does anyone have thoughts on this topic?

development of 'sight' through sound is interesting stuff

How about bike riders use their bell or whatever

and how about pedestrians learn how to stop and not get in the way

Probably isn't a cheap way to do this, and they would be quite annoying.
Imagine a lady trying to walk in heels on something like this.

The sidewalks I have already have ridges and riding a skateboard on them is quite loud.
