I mean, I'd say the shows USED to be good. But then, capitalist world we're (probably) living in,  probably:
1. they tailored to the current likes/dislikes (market)
2. I probably actually liked random plots serving no purpose!

and ffs why the hell is uncle grandpa even a show

it basically mixes all of the garbage jokes, all of the crap humor in the world, and calls it a cartoon

if uncle grandpa could be taken down, that would be great

regular show is cool i guess
adventure time i dont even know
steven universe is good but gravity falls is better
clarence is incredible
we bare bears is pretty funny
uncle grandpa is like teen titans go but not poop

I'd open a poll, but there's no sense in looking for data to make a point if the preliminary doesn't suggest it.
SO, am I alone in the idea that the cartoons I (we) grew up with were great, but "today's" cartoons are crap?
If you're still growing up, you're exempt from this question.

I think cartoons are generational. I shame all CN shows, except for SU and Adventure Time, for their blatant stupidity. Especially Teen Titans Go, because I grew up in the era of the real Teen Titans cartoons.

But for all the time I could spend whining about the quality of these shows, the fact is they are not meant for my demographic. Better to just let the kids enjoy their kids shows.

I watched 2008 era cartoons, with Ben 10 and the mighty bee

I never really watched any "old" cartoons, so I cannot tell which is better

I used to watch CN - Here's what I liked:

Ben 10, Teen Titans, Foster Home For Imaginary Friends, My Gym Partner Was a Monkey, Dexter's Laboratory, Samurai Jack, Cardcaptors, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Johnny Test, Camp Lazlo, Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Code Name Kids Next Door, and Shaolin Showdown. I might've missed some.

from whats airing today (cn serbia), i like:
the amazing world of gumball, regular show, clarence, steven universe, teen titans*, my gym partners' a monkey*, fosters home for imaginary friends*, dexter's lab, adventure time (not sure if i missed any more)
* = 50/50

i hate:
uncle grandpa - way too childish and immature
over the garden wall
and ben 10 series partially

i watched Ed Edd 'n' Eddy so much, it was my favorite show. I even got to watch a whole day. When the movie aired, i had a flu :kri: #nevaforget
I cried for 2 days because EEnE stopped airing.

A new generation means new kind of entertainment. If you don't like it, then go ahead and **** on them. As long as the children are liking what they see on television now, they won't change no matter what you say. (unless its logical and tempting idk)
