Read title.

Its an arrow

It aims down

Its basically the empty space block

except it has a graphic

Helps for people who have ocd

Just thought I'd suggest this because many things look weird because of no down arrow

Well otherwise there's not much point in it being there. It's purely decorational, seeming as there is already downwards facing gravity in the form of blank blocks.

It does though. Every decoration has exactly the same physics (you can't set gravity on decorations, so they go downwards by default). Plus, decorations take the same layer as gravity, so there would be no problems there.

but it would make more sense to put it with the other arrows, instead of having a lone "down arrow" decoration.

Not ONLY useful for AFK boxes. It can be used for some minigames. Like if you wanted a vertical tunnel that is one way without using one-way blocks.

Also OCD is obsessive compulsive disorder (or something).

Yeah, I doubt anyone here is OCD, but just a perfectionist like me.
A few times I've spent hours centering a logo on my world (that never will be finished).

Also amds was right it is very useful for that. Otherwise you are forced to have invisible arrows.
