Long Lost account,way to get it back?

Some background Information.

in 2012 i created an account which was linked to an facebook account.
around the same year i heard from somewhere that my e-mail was getting removed.no idea why.
lateron i lost access to said account and i wasn't able to get it back eversince.
is there a way to get back said account?i still remember the name the account used to go with. if its important.

I think you need more proof than just a name.
If it should work to get into the account with only the name. Everyone could abuse it and steal accounts.

i just gave the name because i was in general asking if its possible.heard stuff you know.
