I guess the problem is that it would cause problems for some people, and if you were in a free edit world or something it would mean people could spam them everywhere which could crash those not in god mode.

Anyway, implementing it would be a huge task, so if they are going to do it, it probably wont be until the reboot

What if you place one hole in the vision blocker (like a full square but you break one block inside it?)

i personally think vision blockers should just be used as implemented over here

it'd make much more sense - as for corners, you could try to only calculate the boxed area the player is in on screen and do ray tracing based on the outline, badly drawn example:
