Posting 101

I just had to read another pointless Topic @ General Discussions,
thought it would be good to have a Posting 101.
It probably won't do any good, but there we go:

Posting 101

> You get the idea to post something.
> Click "Post new topic"
> Write content.

And now comes the important part:

> Stop.
> Take a break, wait a few seconds and read what you just wrote again.
> Fast forward half a minute.
> Ask yourself these questions:

   * Is it relevant for anyone at the forums?
   * Has the content value?
   * Might it offend someone?
          - If yes: Do I want to do so? Am I able to resolve it quietly/private?
             => PM / Report etc.
   * Am I leaking a private conversation?
         - If yes: Did I ask before?
            - If no: Is it REALLY worth it?
   * Is it funny?
         - If yes: Don't post it, it's probably not.

If you went through all these & still want to post:

> Congratulations, you might have made an interesting post.
