Hidden Text in lobby
I was searching around the lobby (for gem codes 
) and i found text in the bottom right hand corner of the lobby, but only the first few letters were exposed.
You can highlight the text and see what it says, the text is different depending on which website you are playing on.
Armorgames: armor[username]
Everybodyedits.com: Starts with "simple[numbers]x[number]"
Guests: simpleguest
Facebook: Starts with "fb"
What are these texts for? Is it to recognise the account in some way?

I don't see it pop op in my screen, but yes, fb=facebook, simple=normal, kong=kongregate; part of your account ID.

It's not there for me, but I run Adblock+ and Ghostery, so it may just be blocked off by those.

It has always been there. It's just your userID. Nothing to freak out over. It was put there so people could find it and copy it.
Is there a use for this ID? like you can use it if you lost your account pass

you can login using that id and the required password
also able to see when a account was created using those numbers

For a moment I thought it was the last gem code around. Not bad, at least I still have chance to find it first before everyone else.

Yeah, it's just your user ID. It's been there for years but I'm pretty sure the lobby redesigns pushed it off to the side and no one ever removed it.
Nah, it's there so developers can quickly select their own id and use it for testing purposes. Or they can just give themselves random items easier
