Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: Windows 10

I'll upgrade to windows 10 to make sure that I am eligible to get it in the future, then if it's not for me I'll downgrade to windows 8.1.

Not possible

I mean , if you upgrade your old license it is gone and replased with a win 10 license , you'd have to buy a new windows 8 license

This. Windows10 doesn't look like much of an upgrade from win8.1 yet.

Again, I don't see why it matters. It's your only chance to get it for free...

Not to mention it's a number divisible by 5!

Also device compatibility. How could you not want that

Re: Windows 10

Windows 8.1 functions perfectly fine as it is. Why should I upgrade to win10, something that doesn't look like it will improve anything, add anything, will be any better? Because it's "new" and "free"?

At one point, Windows Vista was "new" and "free" for people with XP. I'm glad I didn't upgrade then.

I'm not going to mess around with my computer just to check out the latest tech, when I don't know if it will be annoying to use, if it will mess with anything that's already installed on my computer, or if what's on my computer will be compatible with win10.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Re: Windows 10

Win7 is THE best and MOST user-friendly, unless Win8 is on one of those costly touchscreen laptops.

But yet, Win7 is less space consuming.

Re: Windows 10

THEY'RE ADDING COPY AND PASTE TO COMMAND PROMPT WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT

Not to mention the security updates, addition of Cortana (if you're into that), and it's FREE.

Literally I don't see a downside. Sure there may be a couple bugs at first but people will submit them and then they will be fixed within the first month. So if you don't want bugs, wait a month to upgrade (the free offer lasts till 2016 I believe). Other than that, why would you stick with an outdated version that will become obsolete just like Windows 7 already did?

Windows Vista was a huge step up from Windows XP, I don't see why you're using that as a comparison.

Re: Windows 10

I've looked through the big new features that win10 is boasting, and I'm really not interested in any of it.

It's really not worth the hassle.

Any hassle is worth it for copy and pasting in command prompt

I haven't had any issues with Windows 8.1, hence, it functions fine (at least for me, your mileage may vary).

Re: Windows 10

I agree that win8.1 is a little annoying to use with only a mouse... but it was made to be used on touch screens.
