Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Windows 10

Windows' new OS brings back the start menu and a bunch of other stuff no one really cares about.

People with 7 or 8.1 get a free upgrade for a limited time.

So. Windows 10? Worth it?
You getting the free upgrade?

I find that with 8.1, I don't even really miss the start menu because I don't use the tile thing that often... I just use explorer or shortcuts on the desktop.

Re: Windows 10

It seems I got a notification. And I will get it on 29.
Anyways, most probably their server will crush in that day...

I believe they aren't going to make many modifications anyways...

Re: Windows 10

Yay, the classic start menu is here. It is about time. Also, the multitask feature looks useful for making more complex levels.

Re: Windows 10

I have seen previews of Windows 10, and I like it more than the crap they have now.
I like the clean, minimalist style.

If they went with a material design, like ChromeOS, I would be in love <3

Re: Windows 10

I updated mine. Not looking like in photos. It gave me a headache.
It failed detecting my monitor resolution and yeah...
They redrew all the icons.
In Microsoft Spartan Edge Browser its just impossible to play EE, because the client window is 1 / 8 of its size.
Windows 10 its slow, crashes frequently. I think is giving out for free only to get more feedback for its problem. Because it will be a miracle if all issues will fix in a month.

Re: Windows 10

Just like always I'll wait until proper reviews are in and bugs have been fixed.
I skipped W8 completely, and W7 has been doing very well. The only reason for me to switch to W10 would be because DX12 is W10 exclusive.

Yea, will probably get Win 10 , bought win 8 for 30€ (microsoft apparently really needed to sell copies)

Re: Windows 10

Coming July 29th.

Frankly it doesn't seem like a big step up from Windows 8.1 to me, but I'm getting it nevertheless.

Anyone else?

Re: Windows 10

I'm getting it because it's a big step up from Windows 7 which I have now... 7 was still alright when 8.1 came out which is why I didn't switch but now I feel like upgrading to 10 from 7 is almost necessary.

Re: Windows 10

I got it on a vm.
Is a mess:
Edge instead of IE, but IE is still present
Settings instead of Control Panel, but Control Panel is still present
Normal menu instead of full screen menu, but full screen menu is still present
etc.

You don't even know where you want to go in the system!

Re: Windows 10

The menu looks bland and it introduces nothing new that I'd find useful so I'm not getting it.

Re: Windows 10

I don't see why people wouldn't get it just because they don't feel the need for it. If you get a free upgrade, I'd say go for it. Unless there's something specific you don't like about it, they call it an "upgrade" for a reason.

Re: Windows 10

It's not really an "upgrade."

It was supposed to bring a few features from XP/Vista/7 that people wanted back.  I like the 8/8.1 layout, especially the start menu.

8/8.1 doesn't have a start menu?

It's called "horse kisses"(what a wierd censor , eh)
having to click on there everytime just to open an app , it has loading times and covers my entire screen
which led to me placing alot more shortcuts on my taskbar
