Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Game physics?

So the other day I was being bored and trying to figure out some things in the game, such as freefall acceleration and maximum running speed. I realized I probably can't do that because the acceleration for both running and falling seems to be constantly changing. However, I did notice some weird things.

Freefall

In the falling picture, I just dropped from the top of the map to the arrows. The number of blocks designates the space between the top arrow and the top wall, character position included. It was possible for me to fall through the arrows on the distances of 61 and 58, but none of the others.

Running

In the running picture, I started square against the wall and held the A (left) key. The numbers still mean the distance between the first arrow and the wall. I was able to pass through the arrows on 89 and 87, but not 88 nor 86. The largest and smallest numbers are probably the bounds where you are going to pass/not pass the arrows, so I ignored the others.

The question I have is whether there is a reason for this to happen. I know this is a weird question, but I'd like to know an answer if possible, even if it's programming related, which I likely won't understand at all.

Re: Game physics?

CommanderKitten made a world with the EE physics like this. It was weird.
