[Idea] Lobby Redesign

I started messing with the lobby design today. I didn't really have a plan on what I was going to make it look like... I just started slapping lines and buttons on, and changing things. I was trying to make it seem more modern, but that failed. So I went with a minimalist look, which is too boring (imo).

Here is what I have so far...

Obviously it's not done... I really didn't know where I was taking this.

I'm a little curious to see what other people think it should look like... so post some images below.

Just an idea, and I am aware that's horrible

Also, the settings button would bring up a menu with options for: word filter, chat on/off, profile privacy, game quality, etc.

Looks too mobile, all buttons attached, don't try minimalistic, it's bad for you.

I don't like it because it has 10000 energy and 33 gems, damn, giv me ur aakoont pl0x.

I'm not sure if you could fuse it together with my idea.

I like it , though you could add a an option in your new settings window to choose your prefered lobby design
then everyone would be happy!

I like this idea, because it looks a lot friendlier to newer young users (the audience for EE) and the UI elements are larger, which make it easy on the eyes. Everything that I need is easy to read.

However the only way to know if it's going to be better or not is to do some A/B testing (UX testing) with actual users and see which one performs better (our goal could be to increase user signups, increase the time users spend on the website, something...)

We were thinking of changing the tabs around a lot... not sure I can go into a lot of details right now.

It's not like we're going to push a new lobby out in a few days. This was just an idea, that was blindly following a path. We will more than likely do some random testing to see what people think; if we ever change the lobby.

Could you add a fullscreen button? I really like it so far and an option that lets you pick your preferred lobby style would be nice.

I agree, the one I made isn't the greatest. I think it would be perfect for much younger players, and possibly new players in general.

But I think it's too plain. It needs an updated look, and to be organized better... just not sure how to do it.

I think the reason you are having a problem following the minimalistic trend is because EE's lobby is ALREADY minimalistic. Yes, it could be more-so, but... why?

I think the focus should be less on "how to change the style" and more on "how to change it so we can fit the features we need" like the crew system.

I didn't know your graphics design was as bad as your moderation!
You should just compromise and give up on both.
The design is full grandmother: everything is nice and easy on grandmas eyes, but it's a huge pain to look at for everyone else.

It appears you missed my previous messages. I didn't claim it was good, nor that it was even relative to good. It was just an idea.

If it's so bad, provide suggestions. Give ideas. Don't sit back and judge/complain but refuse to do anything to make it better.
