Comic sans makes me cringe.

If you cringe at simply a "misuse" of a font, I would be scared at other problems you have in life.

Fonts are a way of adding depth and life to whatever you are writing, just like colorful words are used to bring life to what you say.  This is called Typography.

...and comic sans is right for ee. if ee was some high-class luxury hotel then comic sans wouldn't be right for it, but thankfully ee is just a cartoonish game about yellow heads placing blocks.

I disagree, EE's style is more fixedsys than comic sans. I have never seen anyone in game use comic sans before. Also I disagree with the assertion that ee is cartoonish. Cartoon is a style that ee doesn't touch. Now, if we used vector graphics, perhaps it may work better, but we don't.
