Brushing it off as "well, it's just a joke so it's fine!" doesn't justify sexism in any way. I told you this earlier.

Humor is actually a common tool when it comes to oppressing a marginalized group, and is an effective way of enforcing negative stereotypes. That is because you're supposed to just laugh it off when we hear a joke, and if you question any underlying meanings in the jokes you're accused of being a humor-less prick. It's a pretty effective way of silencing people.

When you joke about something you give people the false impression that we're beyond oppression of the subject at hand, and that it's okay to joke about it. In reality we're not, and racism/sexism/ableism is a problem that jokes help to normalize.
