Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

If you put text in an image, that is within the 300 pixel height limit, you can go over 4 lines of text.
Anyway, welcome (back?) to the forums. Follow the rules, the mods are always watching!

Hello, and welcome to the forums! As always, I ask you to read the rules.
There are many reputable members here that you can ask for help. I can't speak for the others, but I'd be glad to help anyone who needs it. The people I'd suggest talking to are JadElClemens, Supadorf24, TakoMan02 Different55 (or any other people with green names, a.k.a. moderators), Zoey2070, Krazyman50, Saintcool, Wolf exile1, and myself.
There are just a few things you need to know that aren't in the rules.
- First off, people with orange/yellow names are forum administrators, but I doubt you'll see many of them that often. People with green names are moderators, and you'll see some of them a lot.
- Second, there are a few topics you may want to read in order to get to know the forums better:
Chimi's Ultimate FAQ, which is exactly what it sounds like.
The rank topic. If you're ever wondering about ranks, read in there and don't make a new topic for it. Someone posted an idea there and it eventually became the ranking system we have now.
Zoey2070's BBcode topic, which helps you get to know how people color text, link things, and do things with their posts.
TakoMan02's Topic Placement topic tells you which section is appropriate to post a new topic in (It says things like "Looking to talk about the game? Post in General Discussion!")
- Third, make sure to read the stickied topics in Game Suggestions and Graphics Suggestions before you post. Also, before you post a topic about ANYTHING, use the Search function (also located at the top of all pages). Be vague, instead of searching for specific things. If you want to make a topic about funny pictures and stuff, don't search "funny pictures and stuff", or even "funny pictures stuff". Just search "Funny pictures". The search here is very, very specific and tricky to use.
- Fourth, the two numbers that don't matter at all are post count and rep (short for reputation). Post count is obviously the number of posts you have. This number isn't important because it's about the quality, not quantity, of posts (though a high quantity of high quality posts is good). The other one, rep, is maybe even less important. Anyone can +rep (add to the reputation) or -rep (subtract from it) anyone but themselves. You can +rep someone for whatever you want, and you can -rep them if you've got a good reason. It's not important since most people just play a game where everyone +reps each other. A couple people want to stay in the negatives, but that doesn't mean they're a bad forumer.
- Fifth, and most importantly, give me a +rep have FUN!
