CPU characters.
So maybe we could place a smiley, choose it's face and then set a route for it to move on. Or it could say something (a hint etc.) when we get a set amount of blocks close. It's possible with a little bit of coding. And responsible users who don't spam them. Maybe.. 500 energy / 15 gems a smiley?
