Using the latest Paint.NET technologies, I've been able to extract the raw material from Week 4 to bring you... weekly Rivertide updates! Now on Saturdays and Wednesdays!

By the way, this story takes place in a nonexistent country known as Emershia. The provinces I have named are: The one Matthew's from (Robinest [ewpsies, continuity error]), this one (Whirlpool, with the cities of Rivertide and Aeroaltus), the one directly below (Tanone), and one other (Ishunova).

Week 5

I feel as though I'm bringing life to this place. It's getting into a rainy season - the first time in a few decades - and a new road is being built. Of course, the road is likely being built to provide a quicker way to get to the surrounding provinces. I heard that you had to go all the way around Aeroaltus to get from here to Tanone, the province directly below us. Either way, progress is to blame.

Matthew finished moving in, and he's pretty okay, if a bit inward. He mostly stays inside his house; he doesn't even drive to work. I did catch him taking some of my buds a few days ago, but I let him have them and planted more, since they aren't going to grow without being rooted. I'm not altogether certain that Matthew's rooted, though...</span>

Week 6

Due to the raining and the uneven terrain, there's been some puddles here and there, so the construction is being halted for a short while. Matt's house has also been flooded a bit, but from what I heard, it shouldn't take too long to clean up. On the bright side, my buds are almost fully grown, so soon I can enjoy some delicious, fresh produce. Maybe I'll even start a little store, now that a road's being built and more traffic will be coming in. It's probably not going to happen, though, but maybe...</span>

James tries to open up a flower shop...with little success.

Matt hires a professional to help drain the floodwater from his house, but finds he is charging too much for Matt to afford.

Matt sees an unique opportunity to make some extra cash to pay off the professional, and employs himself at James' shop. But little does James know that Matt is stealing the flowers, and is trying to overtake the shop from his grip!

That's all happening next time on...The Town of Rivertide!

Matthew turns out to be a physcopathic killer, he invites James around for a game of monopoly. He has plans of killing James inside his house, no police stations are nearby, no-one can stop him!

Will Matthew succseed in killing James or will James escape just in time?

Looks like you will have to wait, until next time....

Construction will not move in real time, because otherwise most updates would just be a bit more progress and nothing else of particular interest.

Week 7

Now that the puddles are dried up, work has continued on the road. These guys are moving at an incredible pace; they're nearly done paving in only a week.

My buds have ripened, and they're ready for picking. Tomatoes! I'm a big fan of this fruit/vegetable, and they go along well with many meals. Plus, they'll be perfect for throwing at Matt's house.

Speaking of Matt, he's still struggling to get his house cleaned up from the runoff, and I even pitched in to help him, if only out of pity. It's a mess in there, since it wasn't built to handle sudden rains. He's currently borrowing a loan to pay for a new computer, as his old one is fried and he needs one to be able to work.

I noticed that a new building is also being erected. It seems too large to be a house, so I'm thinking it must be a shop of some kind. I don't know why they went for this little backwater town rather than Aeroaltus, but I guess they must have the same mindset as I do; the new street will bring more business. They're definitely taking a risk, anyway.</span>

I was going to take a pic for every update but then I realised it would take me forever so I just made the pic for the latest update.
Took me 3 hours to make the map. 2:30pm-5:30pm just finished. Sorry that it seems a bit off from the actual story but it was very hard to make especially cars. I tried my best just posting this to show how much I am enjoying the story. Also +rep to you.

I will update my map in this post. So check out the link to the image often after DryKirby updates the story

I'm back with an announcement: It's aliiiiiiiiiiive!

The reason why I wasn't here is because the combination of school and the forums being down drove me away from the site, even during June.

I don't make updates in advance, so I don't have anything to upload, but I'll get started on tomorrow's update for you guys. Going back to the Wednesday-Saturday schedule!

Also that Minecraft map is awesome, thanks you very much! ^^

Week 9

Happy 4th of July! There's been a lot of fireworks here, which is nice because Aeroaltus doesn't allow anybody to fire them. The construction crew's been hanging around my place and partying in general, but Matt's just staying inside his house, ignoring the festivities. Pretty sure he's asleep, because he's been working hard on a new project: expanding his house! By himself! I don't even know where he got the money for the bricks, never mind the fact that he's on a loan.

No, there's no tanuki here, folks.

Anyway, speaking of the construction crew, they've just finished up paving and painting the road (I'll call it Main Street from here on), and they've started work on the new building. Pretty thick walls if you ask me, but it looks like they have juuust enough bricks to finish it up. And hey, maybe I'll see some cars besides Matt's! Maybe.</span>
