Just a quickie: what was the selection process for these guardians and who selected them? If this has already been answered, may some please direct me to said topic (preferably a post in which this was discussed). Thanks.

Fairly sure it was about sending an email to Julian about how appropriate you would be or something.
I don't think there was a topic about BECOMING a guardian.

You just have to email Julian/MrShoe, without pay and anything, even if you are immature you can become one.

No, I think they were just picked whether they emailed shoe or not. I think jawapa sent some recommendations to MrShoe/brian/whoeveritwas for who should be guardian. Though it's possible and what creature&dragonranger said might be true.

NVD and Ultrabass were selected for Guardians by the administrators because after they made their own private server (which is legally copyright infringement), they accepted gems (which is legally fraud) and they had the gems item displaying 'Money will be donated towards a charity', depicting Child's Play. Whereas, it wasn't. All transactions went straight to their Paypal.

After Ultrabass received the money, he spent it on Everybody Edits - which MrShoe was clearly pleased about.

MrShoe and Brian have been notified of the 'scams' and they ignored it.
Ultrabass and NVD both deny they knew anything about it. Despite they both managed their server together.

Brian contacted them and asked them to take the site and server down.
They eventually did, partially. They kept the server up for a while longer after the site was taken down.

So, with the combination of ripping off other private servers and creating their own badly made one, and receiving money from them. MrShoe took a likening towards them, asked them for ideas and so on.

Now they're best friends and, to demonstrate that, they're now Guardians.

Not sure why JaWapa and KingOfTheOzone were selected, they were possibly recommended by NVD/Ultrabass.
So, if you want to be a Guardian, you just have to be cool with them.

Yea, in someway they bought friendship of MrShoe with charity money that should been go to an non profit organization.

What exactly do they do? And why is it a bad thing?

All they do currently is check /reportabuses. It is not a bad thing, Atilla is just overreacting as usual.

Yeah, I only changed the formatting, not the content. Anyway, the Guardians are now un-silenced until they mess it up for themselves.
