Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

So this morning, i woke up (as per usual)
and i was uber hungry
so i went to make my self some toast,
but the fuse in the toaster was broken,
after getting really frustrated with the toaster,
i gave up.
but i really wanted some toast.
so i turned the grill on in the oven, and stuck the bread in the oven
it took waaay longer than it should have,
but after all i really really reallly wanted some toast,
so i was patient.
so as my toast was grilled perfectly,
i reached for the jam in the fridge,
and then got my self a plate,
but as i turned around with the piece of toast in my hand
it fell :O
all hope was lost,
it seemed like the world was ending as i watched my toast spin and turn in slow motion
as it tried to fight off gravity, slowly but surely coming closer to the kitchen floor
YET! against all odds! a glimmer of hope appeared.
i darent look, but when i braved to open my eyes
i saw what millions of toast goers before me have only dreamt of seeing
the jam side was facing up.
true story. and way too miraculous not to share!
I don't know if this is because I haven't been happy lately or something
but this just made me laugh really badly. LOL
Im wetting myself of laughter.

Um... toast almost always lands buttered/jam'd side up. Aerodynamics. When you spread your jam on it it makes a depression so its shaped slightly like \__/
You'll almost never see a \__/ shaped object land /---\ on it's own.

Aww that must of been so gutting. Cool story though
That was almost as amazing as when I heard my bus driver mention how we might as well ride alpacas to school to save money on gas.

This...
This is epic. Truly amazing story.
@Different: The jam makes the one side of the toast heavier, so it's more likely to land on the jellied/buttered side.

@Different55 and JadElClemens:
I'm not privy to the physics behind the myth which is toast falling buttered side down/up.
however i am glad to provide laughs to my fellow ee compatriots

The Mythbusters did an episode on this. Here are the results:
In an extensive and highly objective test the toast showed no statistical preference for landing buttered side-down or up when dropped. It was an even 50-50 split when the final results were compared. However, when pushed off the side of a table, toast showed a tendency to flip once and land buttered side down, which is likely the source of the myth. Adam also remarks that the results of this test are, by observation, less dependent on the actual butter itself, and is inherent from the process of buttering the toast instead; compressing the toast by applying the butter to the side of a piece of toast causes that side to become concave and encounter more air friction on that side and thus, much like a leaf, causes it flip and land butter-side up.
Also, while searching Wikipedia for the Mythbusters results, I found an article on the buttered cat paradox. It's pretty funny. It deals with buttered toast and cats.
Here's the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buttered_cat_paradox
You used so much expression!:D
So, did you eat it?
Please tell me you didn't.
If he didn't he should have! That's what the 5 second rule is for
It's the 3 second rule here, lol

considering the trouble gone to make that piece of toast I most definitely ate it thank goodness for the
'x' second rule XD
I looked at the title and thought "Oh no, don't tell me he dropped the toast and it fell butter-side up" *clicks* OMG.

They use toast as an example in the beginning
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

BIG STEP FOR MANKIND!
@ takoman02 meh, theres bacteria everywhere, just as likely i could get something much worse from cutting my self on something and thinking nothing of it. also interesting they didnt show the control sample.
Maybe the toast was a lie

Over long distances. Have you been watching Mythbusters?
Wait, did you use butter?
