Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

lllllWell, you may remember my I'm Kinda Disappointed... topic. Which pretty much states that I completely oppose bots and bot-making. On the contrary! I love bots! I just wanted to point out that many people were trying to get and use unoriginal ideas for bots.
Anyways, to other matters.
I have decided to begin learning some programming languages, specifically Python, which will take some time to learn. I also will be learning some C, C++, and C#. I'm hoping that by January 2012 I will have Python mastered and will begin working on some other language (most likely C#). I have no previous experience with programming so it will take some time. I don't know if January is a really short time or a really long time. Anyways, I am planning on making something extraordinary with these languages, which might not be pertaining to Everybody Edits, but I'm hoping it will be mind-blowing.
I have already started learning Python, and I know the very basics (not even enough to make my first "Hello, World!" program), so don't expect anything out of me too soon. But before my goal of possibly mastering Python, I will have some sort of program out.
Well, that's all I have to say for now. If you would like to support me and my process of learning these languages, please do so by simply encouraging me, reminding me to "study", or giving me tips on it.
Thanks!

^Haha! Ye---No. ^-^
If I ever make a bot for EE, it probably won't be written in Python.
And btw nobody gets my bots O:<

I was planning on learning C# simply because it is easier to learn, but I decided to embark on something that will be worth my time: Python
Do you know any Python?

It's cool to hear that from you
I have some C++ books, when you be interested in C++ i can give them for you.
And an easy way for learning these languages is looking for videos on youtube teaching what each command does .
Hey
its always great to have a handful of programmers. I wish you the best of luck :-)

And an easy way for learning these languages is looking for videos on youtube teaching what each command does .I remember how i started programming. With the age of eleven the first HTML pages - ok its not a real programming language, mor of a markup-language (as the name says ) I then moved to simple JavaScript teaching me the logic thinking and basic opreations of most programming languages. This was when i started to move to PHP and some SQL. Everything learned by myself. I soon moved to C++, Java and C#. C# is the language i liked the most. It is easy to learn but still very powerful. You usually dont have to care about Pointers and Garbage Collection however you can still define that you want to call a function by reference and not by value (like in C++ and C). And C# is very well documented at the MSDN. However I would recommend (if you're still going to school) that you search for some kind of informatics project group, that is lead by a teacher who has studied informatics. Because in my opinion there is really a lot of stuff that you dont really learn from some youtube videos, like a fundemantal introduction in object oriented programming. But for the first years most of the internet tutorials should be sufficient ;-) So happy programming. I'm eager to see how your skills will develop and what tools you create ;-)

Chris

All the "C" stuff is OUTDATED! Hasn't ANYBODY heard of JAVA????
maybe its not outdated, but compared to java it is, because java is better
You can't even do a hello world! Omaigawd.
Python is really fun, though.
I hate tall signatures.

So how is C# outdated? With the .NET Framework its quite a up-to-date language...
yea.. how is it outdated?

I'm doing the same as you but I started with '.AHK' with .AHK it can only do speech, not disapointed but you can't realy expand on it so I'm on C++ 2010 this may take some time.
Thank you eleizibeth ^
I stack my signatures rather than delete them so I don't lose them

Ooh, Python! Make some GIMP scripts! 1bigsmile1
I've spoken with Twipply and he told me that he would recommend C++ and that he personally didn't like Python that much. So I will look into it!
