Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I've never owned a Mac personally, but I have tried both systems straight out of the box, and the PC was faster. Macs look prettier, but come on.
I'm not the kind of guy who goes insane about the difference between .3 and .32 seconds to load a page, though.
It's astonishing how you manage to say nothing of value
I hate when people say this. If he said nothing of value, then why did you reply? As long as he wrote an actual sentence, whether relevant to the topic or not, it contained value.
This is a great article: 15 Reasons Macs Are Still Better Than Windows from APC.
1) Okay. However, I don't apply much value to the sleep function myself as I've never used it in my life.
2) "Unless you're running on the highest spec hardware, Vista can take minutes to start up. " - What, and I can't spend the £3,000 I saved on not buying a mac on a nice SSD instead? Sounds stupid.
3) Lol.
4) Faceplant
5) "Hey! My mac can run two operating systems! What? You can run linux? Well, that doesn't count... for some reason... (Also os x I believe, which is why they specified 'legitimately')
6) "On Windows, similar apps are available in the system, but they're more scattered and immeasurably more difficult for the average user to find." - So the same things exist, but they're just harder for the 'average user' to find? As if the 'average user' would read them anyway?
7) Stupid.
8) Stupid.
9) Mkay.
10) That's likely be the seller that installs stuff in an attempt to keep prices low. Perhaps macs could take a page from their book?
11) That screen shot thing was stupid.
12) No one needs security software, however, if we're taking virus avoidance to be of important then I imagine they both do.
13) Stupid.
14) Why ignore that windows can run photoshop just fine? Stupid anyway.
15) Mkay.
Overall? I think that article was pretty stupid. Did you even read it? Yes, you have to think about it, too.
@Orton: Ohhh, ok.
Countering that article:
1+2: My Laptop boots and wakes up faster than literally all of my Mac classmates.
3: Tell me the next time someone's PC "bends and creaks"
4: First of all, those are extremely old, and replaced by better looking ones. Secondly, I don't see how that is a bad thing, I like to be able to easily check my battery, or connection, or mouse, or keyboard like that.
5: You can do the same on a PC.
6: Completely false, other way around. Think of all the PC users who have had problems solved, and all the PC users who can help them solve problems, as Twipply stated
7:Again, other way around. Arguably 50% of programs that would be used by everyone (ie, not company specific ones) can be run on a Mac, compared to a very close 100% on PCs.
8: I explained that in the OP.
9: Same thing on a PC, if not neater and more contained.
10: Nor does a PC if you don't screw with it, as I said. I can get the same stuff to happen on a Mac, but I won't do it on either computer.
11: All of these are on PCs except for the external hard drive one, which I have never seen or heard of before and also seems useless, and the Dock, which I dislike, compared to the Start Menu. I'm not entirely sure what the person means by "Quick-look,"but it sounds simply impossible. It says that it launches without launching.
12: Completely false.
13: ???
14: Irrelevant
15: ABSOLUTELY FALSE! I could not possibly agree less.
@Supadorf: Reason being?
EDIT: Didn't see the second page. Looks like Twipply already did this for me. Anyway Twipply, I hope you don't do a faceplant, but rather a facepalm. 1xd1

@Different: I never had that problem when I used a Mac. I'm not gonna add it, but duly noted.
Get a flash drive. Fill it up full. Try to erase something and replace it with something new. Good luck.
Then try the same thing with windows. Complete the task 10 times faster.

I'll do it later. If it happens, I will add it.

I'm perfectly fine with my Alienware M18x.

@Orton: By providing them with facts?
@OrangeCrix: Do you actually have one??? I want one of those so bad...
@Different: Umm...
@Supadorf: Reason being?
Because Macs can right click. I don't see why that would go on the PC pros list when Macs can do the same thing.
Offline
I'm pretty sure that since August 2, 2005, all mice produced by Apple are capable of right clicking. That point has been null for long enough that I fail to comprehend why people bring it up.
Offline
The Mac I use (Macs aren't bad, they're amazing, they're just worse than PCs) when I don't feel like going upstairs (My Mom got it as her desktop, despite my warnings. She now regrets it) lacks a right-click and it is only one year old.

Done with this topic, as the people rebuking my points don't seem to know how.
Really? I think they did a relatively good job. You, on the other hand, replied with this.
Tell me the type, what mouse you have, and I'll tell you how to turn on right click.

Can't read the model anymore, it got scratched off somehow. Anyway, I'll remove that from the PC Pros anyway. I was actually going to edit my latest post with that, but you responded quickly.
I have a Macbook Pro, and it is the best Computer I ever had.
On a semi-irrelevant note, I think the Chromebook will be a strong competitor in a few years. It's a brand new idea, so it needs some development and user-feedback.
Not sure how I would take the absence of a desktop and downloads, seeing as how that's pretty much how all computers are, but it sounds like a great idea for those who just want to browse the web. It also has unique perks which can be found on the homepage.
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

My friend has that. Even he says it's not that great.
Neither,I only use Windows for TF2 and stuff.
LINUX RULES!
Anyways:
Price: PC > Mac
Performance: PC < Mac
So really it depends if you just want a good computer and are willing to pay more for it

Performance: PC < Mac
Nope.
You can get a PC with higher specs for less than a mac.

I always laugh whenever someone says this.

The performance is more of a matter of opinion,IMO
I would take a Mac over a PC any day if I had the cash
EDIT: 100th post!

No, not really. Performance is a fact.
If you have better parts, you have a better computer. Better performance.

Another point: Can you install Flash Player on Mac?
Some people on this thread are making me bash my head into a wall and proceed to drill nails into my eyes. ;_;
