Bodge job firework night.

Here are at our house we tend to have celebrate firework night by simply letting off our own fireworks in our garden, most of the time this goes reasonably well, without any issues or concern. However, it seems that last night was a bit more different than usual I would guess. For starters, we brought the fireworks at last minute.

We'd thought we would be clever, and and start of with a simple catherine-wheel, though, we nailed the firework onto a wooden that was being held up by a plastic tie, therefor as the it started, the plastic heated up melting it, causing the fire work to spin off the post uncontrollably around our garden. The same scenario happened with our rockets, after the second firework the plastic tie melted, which caused the rocket launcher to to change it's angel, aiming it toward us, suddenly "BANG" at this point the garden felt very hot and smokey.

Fortunately no one was majorly hurt. The moral of the story is, Fireworks are freaking dangerous.

Have you ever been silly with fireworks, or had a bad experience?

Darwinism at work? All the firework stuff got pretty boring lately, maybe I should go a display instead. And there was a terrified dog running around around on my street, lucky it got back home though.

No fireworks, cost too much, just start youself a fire.

Fireworks are illegal for a reason. Well, at least in the States they are.

I was about to light a firework. However, my brother thought it would be funny to put on a Frankenstein('s monster) mask on and scream from a high ledge in the garden. I am very jumpy so when he did that I accidentally push the firework forward a bit and lit it. I didn't have time to put the firework back in place so I walk off before I killed myself. Lucky it didn't hit my two pear tree's or my apple tree. However, it did hit the side of a neighbors roof. It took a lot of slates off their roof and made a black mark on the side of the wall. The firework carried on going. The crash made it change direction but it still exploded as usual. The house's roof is now fixed. But I don't think they realize theres a massive black mark on the wall.

Illegal? What does that mean?

You have to be 18 to buy them here, that's the only thing...Which I find pretty darn stupid since you can't walk around with a flick knife, but yet you can walk around with a freaking explosive...

A firework I lit up hit a lightpole near, though no one was injured and there was not significant damage to the pole.
