Alright, here's my opinion on things like Justin Bieber and other controversial songs:

You are more than likely not the target audience. This puts you at a bit of a fault. It's not designed for your mind, it's designed for someone else's mind.

This does not make it a bad song.

Sure, you can point out objective things like "it's repetitive" or "she uses autotune" or "the lyrics aren't deep". Maybe that's not what the target audience is looking for. Objective things like these mean nothing when it comes to opinions, as they are so dynamic your objectiveness can very rarely touch all opinions.

So if you're going to share your opinion on music, it's extremely arrogant to assume that your opinion is all-righteous and overrides the opinions of the people who the song is actually meant to be heard by.

I do not like this music, but then again, I'm not a little girl, so I'm not justified to assert any opinions as truth here. It's my opinion and I'll leave it at that.

I am considered the target audience for a lot of things, such as Twilight, One Direction, and maybe It's Thanksgiving? I don't even want to know the demographic for that because that's uttter crap. So utter crap that required three ts. In fact, so is Twilight and 1D. I would have assumed that the demographic for that was pre-teens but evidently not because there's still people in my classes who like that? (and on the other end, there are 12 year olds who like Creature Feature so who knows?) [also for the record that was five different links]

But yes, when the majority of the people (hopefully, including the demographic) says it sucks, more likely than not, it sucks.

Childhood music controls a person's entire life? Once more, a little presumptuous. It may contribute a little, but that doesn't place it at utmost importance or dictate how people will grow up. The most a song like this will do is set the mood in the room for maybe 2 minutes.

Even when you're completely surrounded by songs like this on a daily basis, it's not inducing anything negative. The lyrics are about being grateful and thankful and listing the holidays. Most other artists directed at this age group are singing about "love" or whatever. There is absolutely nothing degrading about these lyrics.

They're not high quality, I grant you that, but don't jump to say they ruin a person's entire life by setting trends. An individual's personality is always going to be constant, and the music they listen to does not change it, even if they listen to this song nonstop for 100 years.

No Takoman, the video has been made my people who want 15 minutes of fame. They are spoiled kids, not musicians. Children must grow up with mental stimulation, it's child abuse to put any form of garbage   like this in front of a child. It's not original, it's not fun anymore. It's a symbol of what is wrong with western societies.  

Now the stupid girl will face months of torment and abuse, because society thinks it's acceptable to produce this 'music'.

Music is supposed to be an art, not a money and fame machine.

Because decent doesn't sell, tween pop crap does. Mediocre music is acceptable today, so they can sell stuff like this. Being honest, people who have properly listened to music of the past decades do not like the majority of today's music. 8 year old girls haven't.

Let's be most frank here.

It is not at all the little girls fault that her parents went to Patrice Wilson, I can not express my anger at them enough for doing such a abysmal and stupid thing to the girl. They must have noticed what happen to Rebecca, yet they stupidly insist to go to the ridiculously overpriced man, which of course may ruin her future career as a singer, if she did indeed want a career as one.
I honestly do believe that the girl should be absolved from any blame.

I don't want any restrictions on music at all, in any form, I just want people to realize what is bad for the future society and what isn't. You are like most people on the internet, you assume what I believe in without asking. If I believed that then I have no right to listen to music. If you think this music should be tolerated, then you are ignorant.  

Humans should have landed on Mars 20 years ago, but it isn't happening anytime soon because people close themselves off to anything that frightens them, so the current path of society is a slow, painful death.
