Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

So you have a cookie.

You worked to get that cookie. You got up, went to the counter and took that cookie. But I want a cookie. But I don't want to have to get up and go to get a cookie. It's not fair that you should have a cookie and I don't. I know! I'll have someone almost infinitely more powerful than either of us to get that cookie from you, and give it to me! That way I don't have to get up.

And yes, this is indeed the THIRD TIME I'VE POSTED THIS TOPIC BEFORE IT WAS SO RUDELY DELETED BY THE MODS.

And why do you talk so much about cookies xputnameherex? I never got the cookie you're talking about.

Re: So you have a cookie.

I think he's making a metaphor referring to mods and their powers, and how they aren't helping the members properly. I'm not sure, but I think he actually means something.

Of course it's a metaphor. I'm just surprised no one understands it correctly yet.

Not so much a revolution as a reform. Hint. Hint.

Re: So you have a cookie.

Okay. So putname had something on this forum or did something and it wasn't easy to do. Then someone else got a mod to do something to putname so that he loses it and the other guy gets it.

Re: So you have a cookie.

I have absolutely no idea what this is referencing to.

A is working to make x. B is jealous that A has x and wants to get x. B suggests C steals it from A.

Siblings? The energy shop?

[Edit] Oh, socialism. I get it.

Obama been around for a few years, you can't just gesture in his general direction and say "socialism".

Socialism has its pros and cons. Working harder to make less because some bloke is unemployed isn't something that appeals to most people.

Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

...I already said it. And Echo wanted me to say something about gays in my next post, so "homosexual." Happy Echo?

EDIT: @Krubby: Yeah. I assumed that was implied. XD

Because we all know the only reason people ever don't have stuff is from not working hard enough.

Yeah, that isn't even remotely socialism.

@Rat: I'm referring to people who don't work because they know the government will just give them money from people who do work.

EDIT: @krubby: The extent to which it is applied is.

Re: So you have a cookie.

Do you have a better solution to inevitable poverty? You can't make money appear out of thin air.

The biggest hole, in my opinion, concerning government spending toward the people is their lack of personal understanding. Cities throw money at veterans, jobless parents and people who need general support without even asking how much they need or want.

I have seen the government be overgenerous several times, personally and internationally. Maybe this is intentional.

My last post: "I don't feel like getting a cookie"

That didn't answer the question at all.

I corrected his mistake. The topic is not an umbrella for redistribution of wealth.

Re: So you have a cookie.

But you can't just complain without offering an alternate solution. That's what Takoman is asking for.

....No he wasn't. He said "inevitable poverty." Laziness =/= inevitable poverty. Solution: Make people actually try to work. No waiting for your check to come in the mail. There are lots of job openings everywhere.

Re: So you have a cookie.

Well, it is inevtable that there will be poverty. I live in San Fransisco and jobs are hard enough to get for people who are college graduates. People who didn't get full educations don't have nearly as many job opportunities, and there really aren't that many. And I'm currently being neutral on the subject of welfare, I'm just sayingwhy so many people don't have jobs.

It turns out I started replying to this in another tab so I'll just merge it where I already started replying in this hour.

Didn't this get deleted the first time you posted this due to you posting nine times in a row and wanting banned? So I suppose you don't want banned any more? I honestly don't care about what the metaphor is, but I suppose the welfare system thing works. Such a shame you didn't consider that
you know
maybe people want jobs?

(please consider this non-applicable)
Have you considered that there's actually places where job openings are hard to get for a variety of reasons? Such as not being qualified, being overqualified, or not being able to work for whatever reason? Sometimes it's not just being lazy. Plenty of people look for jobs. Some people simply can't get them, especially if they're not exactly what the employer is looking for. I'll even use an example of someone I know. She's female, hasn't graduated high school, 19 with crippling social anxiety where -- as she's stated numerous times on her blog -- she has a lot of trouble looking people in the eye and is just a nervous wreck. She can't get a job (that you can tell your family). Is she lazy? No, far from it. (She has an internet fanbase and is incredibly attractive so she's a camgirl. That is her money. But if she didn't have a following or good looks, she'd be pretty crap out of luck which is why welfare would be needed so she wouldn't be homeless. again, i might add.)

I have a cookie. I'll give you a bit of my cookie but if you really want one you should go and try to get it and try not to get burnt by the flaming hoops and turret hell.
Getting a job is way easier said than done. So while, yes, if you could get a job just by applying very easily but honestly won't get one because you're honest to god incredibly lazy, yes, you're abusing the welfare system and that's bad.
