Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

What's the best superpower?

If you have a choice at one superpower and one superpower only, what would it be?
Keep in mind you would only have one superpower, otherwise you'll be just your normal self, so powers like super speed would kill you from the immense amount of Gs.

This Cracked video is what made me starting thinking about this, so I suggest you watch it too. Although it isn't safe for the younger ones on this forum.

Hmm...

I like the idea of being indestructible, but being able to teleport wherever I want is my best option.

Control of all matter. You can do anything with that.

Unlimited knowledge for obvious reasons.

My superpower would be to summon genies that grant me wishes so that I can get more super powers. Problem?

I would have the ability to make teachers lose their memory if my homework isn't done.

With teleportation you would have to be naked, because your clothing wouldn't travel with you, so it'd kind of only useful if you're teleporting somewhere without any people, unless you don't mind being naked in public.
Also being indestructible leads to the point where you've lived for so long you grow insane, or to the ends of the Earth so you're just floating in empty space that once was our solar system bored out of your mind.

I'd choose immortality, the ability to miss the ground when thrown, or the ability to cure anything.

Probably healing people. I don't like seeing people get hurt.

I want to say that teleportation is impossible. What happens if you decide to teleport... inside a wall? You would probably die, just stuck inside the wall with... wall everywhere inside you. Same thing with teleporting normally. Air is an object too. You're teleporting where air is already, you'd die.
Perhaps it could work if you and the air switched places. And with the wall, it would be a bit strange if you'd teleport inside a wall and a random human-shaped wall would appear where you originally were standing.

Indestructible meaning you can die of age.

Wow, I didn't know trying to have fun deciding on superpowers was so limiting.

I would like a superpower that allows me to have a $20 dollar bill in my pocket at all times. If I took one out, I could reach in again and find another one inside. It would be endless. I also say twenty since many places I go to have a limit on the amount of the dollar bill, and it's usually no higher than twenty. It would be kind of frustrating to buy something worth $400 and have to reach into my pocket twenty times to pay for it, but I would make do.

The ability to read people's minds. You can cheat on tests with ease, you can manipulate people in court, you can have amazing luck with the girls, you can win millions in a casino, the possibilities are endlessly overwhelming.

Charlie: Well, if you were directly above him, how could you see him?
Maverick: Because I was inverted.

To be able to clap my hands and, following that with enough time to separate my hands, have the air above my right hand be replaced with whatever food I am thinking about.

If you miss the ground... then where DO you go?

It's a Hitchhiker's reference.

So there's this guy named Lee. He's got this super power where he can stick a piece of paper with any adjective written on it into his pocket and he'll now be that adjective. If he needs to make up his mind the he can become Decisive Lee and if he needs to go really fast he can become Quick Lee. His superhero name is... THE ADVERB!!!

I got all of this from Dinosaur Comics by Ryan North. All credit is to him.

Re: What's the best superpower?

I would choose flight with a reasonable ability of speed and maximum altitude, so I don't die while flying. Otherwise, like GkAbyss said, the ablity to cure any disease and save lives (potentially bring those who resently died back to life, as long as it is scientifically possible [no magic or acts of God as I don't consider myself a superior figure]). I think the first one is all for personal benefit but the second involves helping others so... I choose the second perferred...

Re: What's the best superpower?

@Addi That is exactly why you need the exact x, y and z co-ordinates so you don't teleport into a wall and don't suffocate in the wall. Too soon?

@Arceus64 You would be the reason that would kill the economy. The next depression in the world's economy would be cause by you. How do you feel? Every single person will search for you and when the'll find you they would either use you as a money slave or would kill you. Have fun.

@Notsobad What if you revived a person that could have become a 2nd Hitler if he hadn't died? What if you cured a person that becomes a terrorist and kills 200 people with a bomb? What if you would cure/revive a person that hires a person to kill you. Sound stupid? Well what if you cured a champion who won a gold medal, the opponent gets so mad at you that this opponent hires someone to kill you?

Guys, super powers that make you special in any way from other people, people become jelly. And this never leads to anything good.

Re: What's the best superpower?

Alright, I think I got it.
The best superpower is being able to undo time.
Anybody remember the episode of Fairly Odd Parents when Timmy wishes do be able to redo parts of his life, and is granted a special watch that takes him back to the time he sets? Something like that could make your life amazing.
Imagine the ability to redo, and go backwards in time to any point in your life, while still having the knowledge you had before traveling? With this, if you ever made a mistake you could just redo it. Or maybe you're growing old and are soon to die. No problem, just redo back to you childhood to live your life all over again, yet with all the knowledge you had in your previous   life. Nobody knows you have this power, which takes out the possibility that you will be targeted, and if anybody does happen to find out, just redo and make sure they don't find out again.

So you want to create paradoxes? Let me explain. Let's say that sometime in your past you lost your wallet and your money, ID, etc. So obviously you go back and 'redo' the last moment that you saw your wallet and put it somewhere you won't lose it. So now it's as if you had never lost it in the first place. But, that means that back in the present, you will have no reason to go back in time in the first place! So obviously you don't go back in time, so you don't stop you from losing your wallet, so then in the present you have a reason to go back in time, so then you don't lose your wallet, then... etc.

Being able to stop time would be the best.

Re: What's the best superpower?

Guys time is not a toy. In fact there is a theory that if something happens, it will happen even if you go back in time and change it. For example, starting with a small thing such as go back in time and find your wallet, you would forget the new place you put the wallet in meaning that you would continuously go back in time to find your wallet and keep losing it in the future even if it is the most obvious place you put it in. Or if you freeze time and copy the final test for your degree/diploma/etc of the smartest person in the whole school, you would get caught for cheating even if you copied in your own words. And example of serious things could be, you go back in time to get your mother out of a fire, but when you get outside you find out that she suffocated from the smoke because you took the worst route to get her out. So you would go back in time again to take a different route but she dies either way. Or if you freeze time and go back to save her but when you unfreeze time she dies of heart attack... And it goes on and on. This theory could be true or could be wrong no one knows but in my opinion, I wouldn't mess with time.

Think about it, you would age, while everyone around you would stay the same age. Say you are 15 years old now and you freeze time for 20 mins every day. There are 365 days in a year. So that is 20 x 365 = 7300. So by the time you are 16, you would be 7300 minutes older than your class mates. Imagine what would happen in 20 years.

This is only 1 thing that is wrong with stopping time.

I am c*ck blocking your powers right now everyone. Still trying to find an excuse why Drock's superpower won't work.

I like the idea of this power very much but you can't do anything, only what your current knowledge already knows. It'd probably be best if a good friend of yours was super intelligent.

I think good reflexes seems to be a good power with no bad sides
