Taking Things Seriously

Ok so it's that time again to post a topic which will probably get locked after 4 pages of argument. This time it's about taking things seriously. It's kind of a sequel to my taking things personally except slightly different.

I often wonder how many people take me seriously on the EE forums. I do not see why anyone should take me seriously. The EE forums are forums for a dead childrens game, and there is hardly anyone left worth talking too. Furthermore, my name (whether it be Failgirl101 or Calicara) is merely a pseudonym, and in no way reflects who I really am. People often act one way in real life, and another way online, people like me. For example, a certain egoist constantly refers to me as a nihilist, when I in fact not a nihilist.
I was talking with KOTO earlier in EE and he got really mad at me because I purposefully acted like a snob. My point being that, if people really think what I say is crazy or absurd then why do you bother the time and effort responding? No one has to read what I say, and no one has to agree with me. Furthermore, if you take everything I say seriously, then you don't know me at all.
I don't feel the need to go on to defend myself, because I think I pretty must described the gist of my situation. My posts are no more educated than anyone else's, because why should I take the time of day to take posts on this forum seriously. Just because I write long paragraphs, or use proper grammar, or use big words, doesn't mean anything. So why do people take me so seriously?
Oh and by the way, let me get one thing straight. Me STATING an idea, and me BELIEVING an idea are too different thing. Like I might say life is futile is true, but that is not to say I think people should commit suicide. Life is futile, we are all going to die that is an undeniable fact, BUT I THINK since life is short than you should live it to your fullest extent. I think everyone deserves the right to live and be happy.

Oh yeah I was there when he snapped at you..
I don't take things very serious on here, ee, or even in real life. Life is too boring to take things seriously. I would rather make a joke about something and laugh about it then be serious. Like I was watching Survivor earlier and they were doing a labyrinth thing and ever time the guy said something about a persons "balls" my immature side kicked in and I laughed me **** off for about 20 minutes.

People who can't laugh at immature jokes once in a while should lighten up lol. I used to think health in High School was awkward and hysterical, especially when we walked about 'woody'. Ah... I never like health class xD
I try to take my real life somewhat seriously, but it can be hard sometimes. I like being intelligent, but I have a very childish nature, so I have to work to balance the two. :>

Honestly, I only got into that argument because you randomly called me out in ee over a conversation a few days ago in another topic.   On top of that I happened overly sleep deprived when you did that.
You basically just randomly called me out to create an argument, then got overly-persistent and made a topic about people taking you too serious.

I have a hard time grasping why you feel the need to mention that I'm American, because my nationality doesn't define my intellect. Do you find it hard to accept that there are smart people in other countries besides England? Maybe like many forumers you misunderstand my way of speaking, and so I will attempt to clarify in a way which you can hopefully understand.
Your signature is cocky. I mention it often, because it seems rather contradictory of you to have a signature that isn't true. Whether or not you were meaning to be sincere can be misinterpreted, as I believe part of understanding speech is through tone of voice. Since you speak in a intelligent tone I tend to read you as a serious person. Whether or not this is a fair judgement is debatable, but it's hard to really know how to properly interpret someone without knowing them. I don't know you.
Furthermore, regardless of how your argument goes, the thing that I have an issue with is that you treat me as inferior. Thus I do the same to you. I think we are equal intellectually insofar as our interpretations of each other via the forums. I argue partly because I find it fun, and partly because you **** me off. You call me an idiot, but you're arguing with me. What does that make you?

Yeah, it's alright.   I've just had alot of stress and pressure put on me irl the past few months, and have been getting alot less sleep, so it just takes alot less for me to go off on someone than it normally would.

I try to avoid arguments for the sake or argumentation, but once in a while I can't help letting one slip. I hope you feel better.

Huh. Society. Some people really have a rock head (stubborn) while some people can be tolerant. The stubborn ones can let the wind (negative opinions) flow through them, following with a counter-arguement, usually baseless (though some give constructive criticism). However, the tolerant ones contain the wind. Once the container gets full of the wind, they might splurt it out like an explosion (raging or ranting, as seen above lol) or releases it slowly like.... [insert cheesy metaphor here]. These are some types of people who exist in the world towards opinions. I night have missed out a few.
