Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Instead of having only 2 pages worth of capacity in the inbox, why don't you extend that a little bit?
Or maybe have a system that deletes old message after a few days, and forumers can have the option of saving messages that won't be deleted?
I'm trying to message a friend, but it says his inbox is full and I can't message him.
I can only contact him by:
Spamming on the thread to get his attention
or
Meeting him unexpectedly on EE
This inbox is full thing is kind of getting me annoyed, but I guess this is why this topic was placed here; for forum suggestions.
Well take this, and consider it.

I support this idea.
Thank you.
I support this too. Even though my inbox is empty

Believe me when I say your inbox will become full, fast, and you're going to have to start deleting stuff over and over again.
Problem with this is the amount of server-storage, I'm guessing here, since its about 1-10kb for the size of the message give or take a few things, time that by 100 and you've got only about 100-1000 KB, now times the with the NUMBER of dedicated (?) storage given to each user on this forums (which is right now 1807) and you've got about (it really depends on the message's size) 180700 - 1807000 KB or 180.7 - 1807 MB, which makes it probable to well.. expand the server storage XD

but short messages don't take up hardly anything. And I get a lot of those from someone *cough*pyro*cough* that say "tinychat nao" that shouldn't take up more than a kb.

What about something like you're allocated this amount of space e.g. 1 MB, than just restricting the total amount of messages?
that's what i was talking about. ask cyclone if he can do that.
