EE fan forum profile avatar

hey forum

i have a qwestion about the profile avatar

because i make screenshot of my self saying hy forum and then i want to upload it but then it says
that it is too big so now i can't have a screenshot of my self but other forum members do have that

so can some won tell me how to do that?

EDIT: now i have a avatar of a nyan cat =/ but still want screenshot foto

Avatars cannot be higher than 90 x 90 pixels, at least on this forum.

^This you cant just have a screenshot of your whole screen it needs to be within 90X90 pixels.

k i did but still i made it tiny but still doesen't fit but now i no so thz every won!

#EDIT: i just cut it but now it says it needs to be .gif or something else but no screenshot

Put it into Paint and save it as a JPEG or a GIF.

IF it is animated, open Paint and save it as a .gif. IF it ISN'T, save as a .png.

GIFs and JPGs can ruin the screenshot quality by a mile if they're not used properly.
JPG is more for photos and GIFs are more for moving images or some graphics.
Also, like stated in the previous posts, make sure the size is 90x90 pixels or below or else it won't upload. You don't need to upload the image to an image host, the forums will host it for you.

Also, if you're talking about size compression (making the file size of an image smaller), I don't really know what I can do about that. :/

Could you try and explain your problem a little more clearly?

And .png is for pixely graphics, like EE.

Use PNGOUTWin for '.png' files! It's the best '.png' compressor I've ever seen.
