Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: Where would you go if these forums closed?

I would do communication in game only. I think these forums are worthwhile, just not for me. For some players, as satirical as most forumers are, this is still sometimes a place to share levels and ask for advice.
It's not worthwhile for me since I am not regularly active on EE, and I don't care to converse about it.

Re: Where would you go if these forums closed?

I would go to steam community and fail forums I would chat ingame, but it would be very very hard to directly message a user/join conversations at the click of a mouse.

These forums are quite worthwhile.

I would ask someone more experienced to make a forum and help him advertise it. But i prefer this forum by far.

This is a false statement.

I find this forum very worthwhile. It's like social media, addicting and important to keep in touch with you friends from EE

These forums are very worthwhile. They act as a social hub for the game. Here you can post your levels, discuss updates and talk about recent events. The forums are very useful.

Re: Where would you go if these forums closed?

I have my closest friends on skype, so I could still talk to them. Other friends, I could meet in game because they're usually on my friends list or at least friends of my friends. The only thing I would be worried about is how I would release levels. I would probably have to guest bomb my worlds. But I don't like that, because only people who are online at the time that it's open will be able to play it. We could find a new forum, or make one. There are other EE forums we could go to.

And yes, I think this forum is worthwhile, because like I said it makes it easier to share levels.

i don't think it's worthwhile because it's gone very downhill under the new management -- pretty much the only people left are the pseudo-pros and trolls. i wouldn't really go anywhere once the forums close, though, since this is a dying community.

Re: Where would you go if these forums closed?

I'd probably abandon EE entirely. I'd probably start being alive in Coldstorm and would get around to a few of the thousand things I've been meaning to do on the fail forums.

I'm not sure if this place is worthwhile. It's still good for posting levels and getting feedback, but there's a lot of stupid stuff that goes on, too.

I would haunt you, Meredith. It's worthwhile to have a historical archive of EE history.

For me, this forum is about more than EE, it's a place for discussion.

This. If the forums go down, please make the database public, except maybe strip out the password column. You don't need to log in if its a read only archive.

Pretty much this, although I think they should stay and I would be sad to see them go, since I've been a part of them for four years. Also I think its a good place to discuss not only the game but other things as well with a community of people that for the most part are pretty cool. But like nathskiix said the new management is

I wouldn't go anywhere. Like lrussel said I would stop existing, online at least. EE (the few times I go on) and this forum are really the only thing I do on the interwebs anymore, communitywise at least. I might check out failforum or something, though.

I'd probably quit EE.

Pretty much everything D55 said.

Re: Where would you go if these forums closed?

I would keep playing the game, and probably make a blog about my feelings of the game, assuming no good forum is made for it. I find this forum worthwhile, as it is the only website other than the game itself where lots of players come together and discuss things. While the exceptional feeblemindedness of the leaders here considerably baffles me, I do not think Atilla or Meredith have ruined it enough for me to leave it.

Same thing... Then I would cry... Maybe moving to Fail Forum?

Fail forum isn't really for EE. Plus anyone who is used to these forums might not like fail forum and the way it is run.

Or instead of public to someone else who is willing to host it and trustworthy enough.

Re: Where would you go if these forums closed?

If Meredith decides for whatever reason to stop hosting the forums, I'll start hosting it instead.
Which, for personal reasons is time-limited as well.
I don't think anyone here in the next few years would be able and/or willing to host it.

A public archive would require stripping out email addresses, passwords, and spending a decent amount of time to strip out any personal information that can be possibly found.

As for Meredith:
She's spent a considerable amount of time and money on these forums.
She can be repaid the money she's spent, but you can't be repaid time. For that reason, it's understandable that she'd like to take a (possibly eternal) break.
