Free chat... (Go see it here and post your opinion)

so, its just thath users what havent "purachased" (payed 1c) chat, so it would be cool if they could just se what we writed and thath they can sam only "most inportant things" like... they can only say:
"Hi","Yes","No","I like you", "I Dont like you" , and XD "please give me code" etc..

like that safe chat thing? that really annoying thing when you have to really search if you wanna say something?

Yeah this might work.
I mean, of course you would have to make extreme extensions for specific sentences, but that shouldn't be too hard
Like the petpet park in neopets lets you type words and if it matches with a choice in the boxes above, then you can say it.

You are righ about 1st thing "who,what,where,why,how..." yes, only needed one and most important....
and ur not right about secound... no, you cant mix it.. you can just say "Where?" , "Can i have code?","I like your level" , "Good night" ....

They should only be able to chat among themselves with those limited words but can't see what we write. We should be able to see what they write, though. Because the chat verification is there because some ppl cuss and so the chat isnt age-appropriate. So they shouldn't be able to see what we write.

Hi,

I'm new to this forum although i'm not new to EE.

I've noticed the chat issue constantly appears on the forums but i can't help but feel there is an easier way to resolve it?

The problem i assume is to do with swearing and offensive terms. Surely a filter could be created so any swear words can be replaced by something non offensive? I've seen it done on so many chat sites in the past so surely it can be implemented within the game?

Secondly, what about a warning system, if someone continually posts obscene terms that a particular individual is not happy with then they could perhaps send a warning to the moderators. After so many warnings the ability for that user to chat is taken away for x amount of time but they are still able to view it. Perhaps after a total of 3 temporary bans it would be resulted in a more permanent chat ban?

Of course this could be abused by members constantly reporting other users when they have done nothing wrong, and no one really likes being accused of something they have not done!

Just a couple of ideas though.
