Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Allow quality setting change in Flash.

I have a computer that runs EE fast, and one that runs it ssslllooowww. On the slow one I can't even properly control my smiley. Maybe I could work around this by setting Flash's quality to low, but EE only allows high. What's wrong with low?

The only thing you can make low quality is the menu at the moment. I have firefox, so right-click and select your quality. Who knows? Maybe Chris will add Quality Options in the big update. I doubt it will make the game any faster though with the atrocious server.

Re: Allow quality setting change in Flash.

I believe it is because you can only set quality to vector images. When you set the quality to low I think it doesn't go as far and doesn't render them as sharply. But pngs and bitmaps, they are set. THIS bit of data stands for ONE pixel. No extra detail, no less detail. The only possibility from that file is THIS image.

Are you saying that all the tiles and smileys are bitmaps, and not vector art? :O

Re: Allow quality setting change in Flash.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. That's why in the shop you can see individual pixels of the smileys.

Exactly! That is why if we put low quality the game remains the same ...

Are there any vector graphics in EE?

Re: Allow quality setting change in Flash.

That's too bad. Re-creating every graphic as a vector would be a lot of work, but that would allow the game to expand and contract with no quality loss, which would be great for screens of all resolutions. And full screen mode would actually look good.

Even screenshots can be doctored to look legit. Or just screenshot the legitimate standalone Flash app and say it's from this file. Either way, pics prove nothing. Awaiting your other method eagerly...

Re: Allow quality setting change in Flash.

First off it's WAAAAY bigger than the current EE files. 4.9 MB compared to 6.0 MB. Suspicious. Opening in safe partition.... Before I open it, it should be noted that the icon of said file is the same as the standalone flash projector... Ok, it is the flash player. And it is everybody edits. It's just the current version of EE, with no explanation as to the increase in size.

I think we both already know the cause of the size increase. <--That's what she said.

Sorry, I've been watching The Office (US version). Seriously, though, I'd bet money that there's malware in there.

Re: Allow quality setting change in Flash.

Why did the size increase with no extra effects or anything?

Re: Allow quality setting change in Flash.

But if it is exactly the same then why the extra MB?
