we should be able to give keys an adjustable radius, which enables the keys to only work within that radius.
imagine u want to use keys for different situations in one level, but for your idea nr 1 u would need many keys that are touched more often, than the keys u want to use for another idea in the same level. it is annoying, that one key, that is touched somewhere else disturbs your idea for another key art, building, minigame...whatever.
thats why it would be useful to give every single key the option to give them a radius, that allows us to make some limits, when using them

right, that way it works the same way.
next step would be to see the IDs of the blocks (and teleports aswell)
for some people it may be annoying if they had to see all IDs of every key blocks und teleports, so we also need an option, that makes all IDs visible and is also able to be turned off.

Nice idea, but it's very similar to what someone already suggested. You could simply connect one key to a gate or more, instead of a radius.

I think this is a good idea to remove key trolls. (kinda)
but I agree with Jasonma, reasons #1 and 2 are a given and reason #3 is the same with portals. especially if you have 12.
