level rating system

since the lobby is mostly filled with complete crap, i say we have a system where you can rate levels. chris should get a few of the most prominent people in the game and let them be raters. the rater can go into each level and use a godmode with no edit and no getting out of the godmode to do a quick check of the level, then exit and reenter to actually play the level and then rate the level on a scale of 1-100 and give a breif description of your rating. when you see a level in the lobby, it will show the average rating besides the number of people in the level. when you go in, you can click to see the rating of each rater and the summary they gave. the raters could also have a blue name on the level list and a special smiley to show that they can rate your level. the rater godmode could be black.

I think this has been suggested before, just with a new twist on it.
I like it, but what do you mean by prominent people?

I think he means experienced EE players like Ex Crew members.

Suggestion for your suggestion: To prevent noobs from thinking these raters are mods, when they enter the rating god mode, they disappear from the world and the user list.

thats why i suggested a black god glow instead of the mods rainbow glow.

What about corruption? If a rater goes into his best friend's level and it's a complete piece of crap.The rater however knows it's his friends place,and gives it a 90 or 100.What would be done so that can't happen?

simple answer to that. make sure chris can trust the people he picks as raters. also, i suggested multiple raters, so if one guy says 90 and another says 50 it averages to 70.

if you dont want people to come into an unfinished level then swear in the title and it wont show up on the world list or in your profile.

um... ok? Instead of prominent EE members, I think it should be prominent forum members. That way, if they find an amazing level, they can put it here and it gets the credit it deserves.

@coolio most prominent forum members are also prominent ee members, so we could have them feature a few levels or something.

I'm guessing they only rate the levels that they go in... And if this comes into play, I'm pretty sure that there will be at least 50 active users being raters.

what he said. lets use this topic to nominate people to be a level rater. obviously anybody in ex crew, bass5098, drock2308, musuki, shy guy, pyromaniac, bee, and maybe even my minigame awesomness.

heres another idea. the raters can go in levels and rate them, but the owner of a level can also apply for a level to be rated.

i see an issue...
i'm in australia and majority of the "prominent EE players" are in the US and Europe
if they can rate levels they go in, they are unlikely to enter my levels.
hence, no ratings.

Im too lazy to read all the other posts but I like this idea but along with just certain people, I think there should be another section for all users to vote. 'Top Rated' and 'Top Rated by Users'...
