Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Gears, Chains, and Levers

I've seen multiple ideas about moving blocks and other related machinery blocks, and I got the idea of adding gears and chains into the block selection. Basically what this would do is give you the ability of changing any block into a moving block. This would probably be available as a package from the Energy Shop for like about 2,000 energy. You would have three new blocks after buying this package: gears, chains, and levers (and maybe a technician smiley would come with the package?).

Gears:
Gears would be what the chains attach to. When placing a gear, you could choose several preset sizes (1, 4, 12, etc., made to keep the gears perfect circles), different rotation speeds (including no rotation), and whether they turn clockwise or counterclockwise. Gears would not be solid, they would fall into the same layer as background blocks.

Chains:
The chains would attach to the gears, and blocks would attach to the chains. When placing chains, you could choose the length of the chain. You would not be able to place a chain on a gear unless the chain is big enough to fit around the gear. If the chain is larger than the one gear, you could loop the rest around another gear (length permitting), or just let it hang off of the gear loose. You would be able to attach any blocks to the chains, making them move along with the chain as it moved by the gears. The blocks would go between the joints in the chains, and you would attach them simply by placing the block directly on the chain.

Levers:
Levers would turn on and off gears. When placing a gear, you would choose it's ID, same as with portals. Levers would control gears by using their ID. Levers would either turn the gear all the way off, or turn it back to it's original speed when switched. If no levers are placed, then the gears simply turn at their set speed with no changes.

Using this, you could make transportation systems moving through your level, and make some interesting mini games. Remember, you could attach any block to this, even coins or crowns //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

Edit: One problem with this may be that since the gears are spinning, they would at some points be diagonal, conflicting with the game's built in grid. The solution to this would be to have the gear turn at set intervals, never turning to a diagonal point. This wouldn't look as cool, but it wouldn't conflict with the grid.

Great idea but i have another one. What if you make a vortex box that is part of the package that pulls gravity to   it or it pushes smileys away , it would be a great trap in run from the gods.

Um...Good idea, but what does that have to do with the gears, chains, and levers package? It doesn't follow along with the theme....
