I do believe this is a really requested idea, and it's be suggested hundreds of time.

I even made and animation for it in 2011

When I was able to speak to Chris a while ago he explained that filling a whole world would create a lot of lag, so I asked if it could fill up to 150/250 blocks, he said 'maybe'
