How to Animate without Animator

Ohai forums! Today, I will teach you how to make an animation using portals! Yes, even YOU can make an animation.

[FIRST] Acquire a large amount of portals. Anywhere from 30-100.

[SECOND] Decide what you want you animation to be about. For now we'll chose something simple, like a Pac-Man eating some dots. Delicious.

[THIRD] Draw a box that takes up the whole screen (29x40). Then, draw your first frame, a Pac-Man in this example.

[FOURTH] In the center, put a spawn point and a 1:2 portal. The portal must be underneath the spawn point.

[FIFTH] Repeat step 3 and 4, except changing the picture just a little bit each time. For the portals, use this key:
1ST: 1:2
2ND: 2:3
3RD: 3:4
4TH: 4:5
LAST: 5:1

And here's the frames I made:

And so on.

So, once you're done buying the spring pack and a million portals, make an animation!

I had this idea also. Do you have one of these functioning in a world? (we can bring small gifs into EE ^^)

I wish. Sadly I only have 2, and for right now I'm putting my energy into the spring pack.

Awesomeness. Isn't this what MIHB did for that seizure
world? It's a good idea anyways. After I get the spring pack and XP smiley I'm gonna get a million portals. Or at least 50.

Okay... then...?

I am definitely curious to see if this will ever catch on. I doubt it will anytime soon, because it requires 2 portals for every frame.

This, along with the animator, could create movies for all I know.

I haven't made it yet. Notice how I never showed the minimap? I'm just changing that one scene, not making new ones.
