Disappearing smileys :o (OMG)

Hi,
This M I L L E N N I U M 1 6 7 2(ingame name). I've a question. How come, in the morning, I go to the shop and I see the postman smiley, and then, after I go for lunch and come back, I go to the shop again then the smiley is missing! The description of the postman smiley is that for news subscribers only, but how come I subscribe but do not get the smiley from the shop? This is very unfair and I know that out there, there are many people who experience the same, for e.g, my brother, ingame username: S P O N G E B O B S Q U A R E A N T S.
