I emailed him suggesting we put the limited-time only things in the shop for gems.

Here is his response (from my memory):

Honestly, I hope he doesn't. Wouldn't you rather have new content? It was advertised as
Limited edition smiley! Get it before the 25th of December or never get it". Not sure about the blocks,   but I think he should stick to his original plan.

yeah we need the chrismas stuff again it was unfair before again ill explain....

i went santa smiley first (and i got on like 3x a day to buy it like i always do so) then i calculated how long it would take to get decor...not enough time wqoould be a waste of energy...then he extends the time now all the people who where putting there energy on it could get it but i wasnt because there waant enough time

so imo chrismas decs should be back but that should be it for the exclusive stuff we have magic now so it should be easyer anyways

Tell me about it. People keep saying that he did this out of greed when he actually got the idea of adding them to the shop for gems from the community itself. Go figure.

people even asked to have them sale for GEMS, i mean i have enough to but the christmas pack, but im not complaining, im actually glad about this!
i suppose people dont like the idea because they dont have the gems to buy them, or that they wouldve preferred to pay them with energy...

i earned free gems and got chrismas pack now to get big spender about 1/5 of the way there
