Black & White

I have been leisurely been working on a map for awhile now.   Its sort of a concept map, that is based of off the conservative time period.   For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, Think about the 40's/50's, namely how television was back then.   The only colors were, in fact, Black & White.   The map will also feature other things that defined that time period, and I will be adding minigames, too.   I haven't gotten super far in it, but I want the communities opinion on how the art is looking, especially since I am using such a limited color palette.   Directly below is a picture of what the minimap looks like at the moment.

AS you can see, it's pretty basic so far.   All I have at the moment is a house, a radio tower, and a silo.   I will be redoing the clouds, because I'm not so happy with them.   Let me know what you think, or if you have any ideas on what I could add art wise, because this map is a huge challenge for me, as it has limited what i can do, and has also never been done (as far as I am aware), so I don't have anything to go off of.

I was going to do something similar. *crosses off list*
Lol, anyways, it's pretty good, but I'd make the silo 3D, if you have the house the same.

I'm trying to work on a way to do that actually.   I've been wroking on this for awhile, this is the map i was planning on using for SquadFS contest, but its FAR to late for that.   I'm also going to use alot of grey backgrounds.

I will post a link once I can get more done.   The maps kinda empty, I don't have any minis in it yet.   The only point in posting a link would be to get plays at this point, I may post a link to it this weekend, depending on what gets done, so check back soon, and a link should be up.

Too make it look like 3D I would try using criss-cross shading

its good, but you need a little more something on the clouds.
