Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I think the current plans for EE!'s featured levels will nicely fit the main thing that EE's campaigns aimed to achieve. If 'campaigned' worlds were to return, I do think that their main purpose should be to teach new skills rather than it being about rewards, a sense of achievement for level makers, or a challenge for platformers.
doesn’t greg check the forums every minute or so?
But if no one observes him doing it then has he really checked?
Kinda no point of infecting dead people if my goal is to eliminate alive ones.
My assumption is that all the dead also need to be infected for them to win.

It's just a word that children use in online games as a way of trying to have some control over their general state of powerlessness.
It's just a case of the demand not justifying the effort. I've not seen anyone asking about this besides you. I'm not aware of the technical details that would be involved in doing this, so I don't really know how much time it would take to acquire and sort through them. But most of the worlds in that list would probably be empty, incomplete, or just worlds where people have been testing things. So it would kinda feel like just preserving things for the sake of preserving them rather than for any significant value. It is likely that Fixel is the person who would need to create the list and he is understandably quite busy. But besides time there is also the issue of consent - while we do technically have the rights to publish anything created in EEU/EE!, I don't think it would be fair to assume that all EEU players would want their worlds shared. It certainly isn't worth the effort of asking people and an opt-out system of consent wouldn't be fair either; I think the people most likely to object to their worlds being shared are probably also some of the less active.
We do already have your thread listing EEU worlds: https://forums.everybodyedits.com/viewt … p?id=47648. The creator of that Google Doc seems active enough since they did approve my edit suggestion to add one of my worlds and have now added their discord details. So people should be able to freely add to it. Admittedly it isn't comprehensive, but it's good enough. Any world worth preserving is either already in that list - or if the owners of any worlds not listed there do care enough to preserve something they've created, they should have plenty of time to preserve it before EEU is shut down. I am sure that there would be a handful of worlds that you or I would choose to preserve if we found them in a list. But ultimately the responsibility of preserving worlds falls on the world owners.
As far as I know, there are no plans to create an archive of EEU worlds. My understanding is that there will be a period of time in which you'll be able to import EEU worlds into EE!, but after that anything from EEU not saved will be lost.
To my knowledge, this has not changed. This includes no release of a world list.
The game WILL be playable by a web browser. A steam release is something we would like to happen also (though not necessarily at launch), but the game will always be accessible via a browser regardless of wherever else it also gets released (unless plans change).
Game Discussion has been inactive for several days. Is everyone still alive? (´・ω・`)?
There's definitely a few people who have been squished since the last post.
but the ee! staffs are dying
W..w..what??
Help…
I considered updating my forum game, but then didn't.
Well given the title I'm fairly certain they're asking if, when the game's in a state to be released, would it be on Steam
I think that our answer to this is that we would like to eventually, but it won't be on steam at launch. That plan is subject to change of course, both in a positive and negative direction. So I guess at the very least it is something that we have thought of and is on our mind.
I'm gonna preface this post by saying it's just my current understanding and that our plans may change. I'll also be including my opinion and I'll do my best to signify that, but basically what I'm about to say may not be a true reflection of what actually ends up happening.
As far as I know, there are no plans to create an archive of EEU worlds. My understanding is that there will be a period of time in which you'll be able to import EEU worlds into EE!, but after that anything from EEU not saved will be lost.
EEU worlds would definitely be broken in EE! and require adjustments - especially if the world requires precise jumps based on the EEU physics. We have confirmed that edit and vision zones will be returning, but the physics will be much closer to EE's physics than EEU's. Naturally, the different textures of blocks used between versions will also cause some issues, but I don't see that being too problematic for EEU since it only had very basic blocks.
I believe strongly that whatever is made to transfer worlds into EE! will be made with little or no faults as the team that would be working on it are paid professionals. So I'm confident that metadata will be fine, subject to the fact that not all EE action blocks will be in EE! at launch. I'm also not certain whether the tool will receive updates as and when those blocks do get added.
In honesty, I think there will be a far greater focus on EE and EEO worlds, especially as their physics will be compatible with EE!. There just isn't the same amount of passion for EEU. Time isn't really much of a factor but the financial aspect is. Even as someone who has no real stake in what money is spent I'd probably not consider it worth it to preserve EEU. Sure there were some nice worlds made, but they were all very basic and can easily be remade in EE!. I think a simple copy-paste of the layout of the blocks and then an adjustment of the art would fix most worlds. And considering how hated the EEU physics were, I don't think the physics and the graphics of the game are anything worth preserving in their own right.
If you want a physical preservation of EEU in the form of EEUO I'd recommend it be community-made. Alternatively, if you rallied together those who are passionate about EEU to show us how loved that version of the game actually is, I'm sure we'd consider creating an EEUO if it is something the community really wants. But right now I personally do not see that passion for it and I never really have - and I don't think anyone else on the EE! staff team sees a passion for EEU either.
Seriously though, what are the plans with EEU's worlds? Are they going to be saved like EE's were? The new staff team have owned EEU for nearly a year so why is there so little info about this?
We've said from the start that there will be a way to transfer EEU, EE and EEO worlds into EE!. Though we do not yet know in what form that will take. We have no plans to create EEUO.
Lictor's Gloomy Castle. The only world I've ever had a sense of determination to get better at and beat (which I eventually did). It inspired me to build a little more before the end of EE and I aspire to build fun and unique high-quality worlds like that in EE!.
minecraft diamond pickaxe
Your hit did 1.5 hearts of damage, aka 3 damage.
Who wants to volunteer in stopping the krax from moving. If no one, then I will I guess.
You successfully paralysed the monster.
I cast Plant Growth on the plants surrounding EE town, and then I cast Spike Growth on them so they have thorns.
The monster is paralysed so it does not approach your defences.
run
You run wildly in panic, until eventually you run face-first into Mini's spike growth taking 1 damage in the process.
Ballista + super shotgun combo this fricker with mastery upgrades and a fully upgraded praetor suit
Your ballista shot is a direct hit but bounces off the Krax's armour, not without leaving a dent though. 12 damage. Your shotgun pellets are a good follow up, but are more ineffective. 2 damage.
Krax Health: 46/60
I cast Fireball, make a Dex save
The fireball was a direct hit, but the slime's bouncy gooey body is a little resistant to fire. You did 16 damage.
I always wanted to be in this situation..
I cast fireball in Minimania's lungs, preventing their attack from registering
You didn't stop anything. All you did was needlessly hurt mini by dealing 7 damage to him.
Use the power of science to melt the slime from existence.
(Giant Light Beam Cannon?)
You are successful, you melt away the slime's 4 remaining HP. All that's left now is a little puddle.
Counterspell
Unsuccessful, you remain hurt.
I use the knife to stab the slime .
You swing your knife into the pitch black of night and hit nothing.
terraria flare gun
Your flare shoots off into the darkness. You don't hit anything, but shortly after you hear a low growling. It seems you've caught something's attention.
It has 60 hp.
silly, just kill mutantdevle so he can’t create any monsters
I don't create these monsters, I'm just the messenger.
Slime is dead
Correct.
Every now and then I get bored and want to host a forum game. But I'm a busy guy and my busyness fluctuates so I can't commit to anything proper. So I'm gonna host this one casually. Long term. I might not update it for months at a time if I'm that busy/burnt out from it. But considering I'm most likely here to stay I'll just fall back on this game every time I get that craving to do something fun on the forums, provided people are always interested in playing it of course.
Game is that simple kill the monster type game. I come up with a monster and designate how much health it has, you guys come up with creative ways to attack/kill it, and then I tell you how much damage you did. I reserve the right to come up with a stupid reason why your attack didn't work if it's too powerful. This game is not going to be fair.
2 leaderboards:
No prizes for anybody.
First monster:
A slime approaches. 20/20 health.
Hello,
I just came across this site/game. It looks like this game is dead tho, but the forum seems active. Has everyone moved onto a new game, or is this game still active somewhere?
We're also making a new game! You can read more about it in the 'Game Business' section of the forums as well as the official discord server: https://discord.gg/2kZYX6bFZq
Rocky fields with an unusual sky colour
Blocks moving in sub-tile increments?
Straight to jail.
I think it's time to revive the EE political parties. You can be leader of the conservatives you progress hater.
EE really does just look great in screenshots.
We might campaign this.
