but none of us have steam and what about the 1000 steam games and still have nothing to play situation
1. alot of people have steam and even if someone doesn't you could download steam!! wow!!
2. what does that situation have to do with the EE reboot being on steam? you'll have it to play
I don't use steam, its bulky and big and spies on me.
how does that make sense, you use steam for playing games and its community features.. not for its size. how are you going to not use it just cause it's big? how does it even spy on you?

Its an update, be happy with that. The staff still give a <snip> about the game.

then i played and quit again kinda recently

I don't understand. If you don't want people to stand on it, then why do you place the block in the middle in the first place? Wouldn't it make more sense to just have the ring of spikes...?
I think it's just so it looks like, well, a block with spikes all around it, removing the block makes it look awkward. You can see the image below for what I mean.
Anyway, I know this thread is a suggestion, but until they magically decide to add this idea, I just put in some solutions. This includes using backgrounds and some decoration.

It seems like you googled some images and then made a Geometry Dash logo. I was able to find the seperate images of the city background and Mysterion fan art easily. That isn't really bad, it's just that all the different styles dont fit with eachother at all.
