#238: Thes es fun - andy77799 - PW-1bv5bLmcEI

Hey, I feel like I've seen that username before, andy77799. If I completed writing this last week, it would've been the second world that week made by an Andy. For how strange this world is, filled with odd quriks and exploits, this will probably the longest write-up yet, and I'm glad I didn't try to rush it last week. This took me longer than the remaining worlds combined. I will roughly divide it into sections marked with bold text, since I'm already using header texts for the world titles.
The lobby
The lobby is the start. Here, the goal is to get blue coins to create the gates to reach the trophy. You need at least 3 to reach the trophy—or god mode, which is right near the start, but that's basically cheating. The more coins, the fewer 1x1 hook jumps you need to reach the trophy, with a major exploit I'll explain later. Bizarrely the win trophy becomes normally unreachable after getting 25 blue coins, outside of an even bigger exploit.
There is also a curse effect arena here. You can get one blue coin there as long as you haven't died yet. Otherwise, you can only get it through an exit from the race, which may get you stuck as described later.
Exploit #1: Respawning in the corner
As you spawn in the top left, above the coin gates needed to win, you can simply die, respawn, and fall onto these gates as long as you haven't touched a checkpoint. You can beat the world in under a minute with this method, no 1x1 hook jumps needed. For completion's sake, I'm going for all blue coins possible, in both singleplayer and multiplayer.
You can get blue coins either from playing minis, the race, or by going through the death doors. This motivates dying. The race has lots of blue coins, but since it requires a second player, I'll skip it for now.
The mini hall
I'll start with the most straightforward part, the low gravity pits. In these two pits, you get low gravity and fall through, avoiding boost arrows and getting the 6 blue coins. Some are pretty easy, but a few are moderately difficult, requiring you to do fairly precise slides between boost arrows. The next blue coin is gotten from going through an oddly placed one-way block.
Next is a pair of hook jumps to reach a spike. There are no blue coins here, but it's the fastest way to die.
Next are three games with switches. One is just a 1x1 hook jump, another is a zigzag, and the final is a gauntlet of key gates you have to quickly jump through. If you do this fast enough, there are an extra two blue coins here. However, if you've already been in it to flip the switch, you're stuck until the key deactivated, which can cause a problem if somebody spams the key.
As a reward for all three switches, you get access to a spike which locks off after the first 10 deaths. In theory this could save you a small amount of time, but it's insignificant if you're going for 225 deaths. Speaking of 225 deaths...
The death doors. 15 total blue coins are locked behind death doors, up to 225 deaths. The fastest way to die is to go through the two hook jumps. If you do this 215 times (the first 10 can be gotten through the switch bonus), it totals 430 hook jumps. Yes, I did this. It took around thirty minutes, though with a few minutes spent doing other things. The alternative is dying in the curse tag, 40 seconds each time. This requires less button mashing, but takes at least 143 minutes...
I grabbed the last blue coins I could in single-player. But I finally noticed a problem that was in plain sight all along. See the 225 death door slot? It is four blocks deep. Without effects, a smiley can't jump out of a four block hole. Meaning your ultimate reward is a trap, and this 30 minute attempt couldn't even claim the win trophy. I also missed a blue coin by mistake, which locks off after just 1 death. (Also accessible in the race, but there the 1 death gate gets you stuck.)
Normally, the pit is impossible to escape. But I quickly looked for an alternative.
Exploit #2: Respawning with low gravity
The low gravity effect lets you jump much higher. The effect is found in a mini, surrounding by disablers so you can't take it outside...but what if you respawned outside the area?
Curse tag gives you a curse, naturally. That also has disablers, but unlike the low gravity effect you can go through the disablers diagonally to keep the curse. Once you do that, go through the low gravity mini. If you have your checkpoint as the one next to the death doors, you can bypass the low gravity disablers, and go through the area with low gravity. Not only can you escape with the blue coins, but there is another benefit—bypassing the hook jumps. With this newfound knowledge, I went to replay the level and claim all 26 singleplayer blue coins faster than ever.
17:44.630. Almost half as long as my previous attempt.
With this exploit, you don't even need any blue coins, letting you complete the level in about ten seconds. This means there's not one, but two exploits to get the win trophy early. This is a very free level. I noticed an even simpler exploit that's not quite as cool as exploit #3.
Exploit #3: Low gravity through the one-way
The one-way fitting mini lets you go to the low gravity mini. Unlike the other entrances, this is horizontal, letting you carefully go halfway through the block to get the effect, and going backwards to escape the mini with it. Once you do that, you have the right half of the mini hall, or the lobby and the race if you respawn up there.
The race
This is where all the remaining blue coins are. You need the green key, which is only reached with god mode. So, I'll spawn in a second player to use god mode. Strangely, there is a god mode block right before the green key entrance. Was this for testing? Well, it makes the level very easy to win, and a sign suggests you're meant to get blue coins for god mode. Perhaps it was left in as an oversight.
You have to complete 18 times. 3 times in first place (which also gives crown), 4 times in second or third, and 10 times in fourth or fifth, and once in sixth or later. Oddly, the places in the race are permanently locked into place with global switches and can only be deactivated with god mode. So, the second player with god mode will also need to flip the switches many times to get all coins from winning.
4 extra blue coins are found in the race, 3 expecting you to end the race early—though one can be survived with the low gravity exploit. As mentioned earlier, the fifth extra blue coin is also available from curse tag, if you haven't died once. If you get it in the race before dying once, you're launched into the curse tag. If you've already died and get this coin from the race, you get stuck unless a curse kills you. Weird level design.
Without the low gravity effect, I could beat it in around 66 seconds. The low gravity exploit would make it much quicker to get through, but no, the race inconveniently starts with an elevator, the one part you can't go through with low gravity.
Getting through the race kills you, which has the benefit of slightly speeding up the journey to 225 deaths.
The questionnaire
Finally, the questionnaire. Only reachable with god mode, each question has a coin and six answers, each with a different associated team. There are 23 questions, plus an extra blank one without any question or answers.
Most of the questions are fairly standard stuff like interests or hobbies. The world creator does show a bit of their bias, though with what answers they decided to include. For example, the video games can be divided into sandbox (EE, Minecraft, Terraria), 3D action games (CS:GO, GTA), or "Classic Boring Games". Besides the "Somebody dats better" answer, four of the five favorite YouTuber options are popular gaming channels. (And sadly, most the answers listed have had major controversies.) Besides the Other option, all the favorite animated series options are American comedies, and all but one are aimed at adults. The favorite memes are from the mid 2010's, etc. Admittedly a lot of EE players are probably into these things though.
Two questions reach a bit dark territory. "In wich [sic] way you clearly don't want to die?" which has the kinds of answers you'd expect, though thankfully they aren't gratuitous or detailed. The second is the last question, and what convinced John to ban this world from PixelWalker, "Who Are The Stupidest People in the world in ur opinion?" All but one are an ethnic group, including that one word used for Romani people often considered a slur. The odd answer out is "Trumps".
You might notice that each question has a block highlighting an answer. The world doesn't make it clear what it means, but I suspect it's the answers from the level creator. The answers show interest in Music on YouTube and Hip-Hop, which matches with the question asking about your favorite rapper. The highlighted answers also suggest a 15-18 year old with interest in Grand Theft Auto and South Park, which lines up with some of the edgy humor. Thankfully, the highlighted answer for annoying people is "Trumps", the only answer not about an ethnic group.
I'm going to give the level creator a benefit of a doubt and assume the troubling answers were just done in attempt to be shocking. I would not be surprised if the level creator has matured since making this.
The final stretch
With all that I've learned, it's time to speed through this and beat this once and for all. 225 deaths, 18 successful races, 2 players, an exploit, and a few extra minis. It took me an additional 46 minutes.
It was fun to play the world, see the variety, and find the exploits. However, the coins for racing and dying are way too dependent on doing the same things repeatedly, which gets old. The visuals are super basic, though the level has a few nice uses of color. The walls are inconsistent—some areas are separated with two walls, and others with one, making the level look rather messy. The questionnaire is flawed, showing the creators' bias and edgy humor.

#239: natan and ilia - iliag98 - PW-1cFKfIFbEI

Pixel art of Mario from Super Mario Bros. Weird coloring choices, as Mario's skin is a pale white and his mustache is pure black. This 2011 level is likely named after the creator, Ilia, and somebody named Natan.

#240: chrome - pokemontalon - PW-1cO-MN3cEI

This is a monochrome level, as the title is probably referring to. Likely inspired by Imgood9's "INFINITE" featured in the Alternate Reality campaign, you start off with a hall that fades to darkness...but when you go back, you find yourself in another room. You can do some wall jumps past some spikes, then the level ends there. I could beat it in half a minute.
Decently fun, has potential.

#241: ED CREW SHIFT OFF - blazingfire - PW-1cr3avca0I

A 2011 Shift level, with only one play. Something tells me that not much actual shift activity happened here.
On the side, there are 10 coins for winning. However, one of the coins is reachable within the lobby itself. If you have all ten coins, which is impossible, the bottom opens up and there is a row of portals leading you nowhere.
The artwork and logo look pretty nice. Annoyingly, the arena is asymmetrical and doesn't have much room as the big blue D is intruding into the space.

#242: Untitled World - spookie - PW-1do3B4MbUI

A small race world for a crown. This is basic even for basic world standards—the middle two layers don't have any barriers, platforms, or obstacles, and the other two just have holes in walls you have to get into. Thankfully the key can't be spammed, though you can stand on solid blocks at the end right before the key and crown as long as you want. The background is an unflattering Basic yellow.
There are some random blue coins at the start you can get with no challenge whatsoever. Maybe the level creator should have put them somewhere more interesting, like in the actual race.

#243: blue minis games - mrhunter - PW-1ejFU3bbEI

MISSHAPENSMILEY: "Looks like the builder got bored in the middle lol"
Blue boxed minis. Mostly stuff I've seen before, but the last part starts to get a bit creative, with coin gates, portals, and switches. Unfortunately the level ends there, taking you to a large empty room that makes me think this is unfinished. The keys can be spammed in the stairs sections, preventing a player from passing. Gets an extra point for not dragging out too long, and getting more creative at the end. I reached the end in about four minutes.
The world is a mix of unpleasant and pleasant visuals. blue Beta and cyan Plastic blocks look surprisingly good together. The level does inconsistently use Mineral instead of Plastic at a few parts, though. The bright backgrounds, especially the Carnival backgrounds can be a bit of an eyesore. The take on the "Everybody Edits" block logo looks nice. Instead of just repeating what's seen on the title screen, it changes up the typeface and coloring. I don't know what that weird blue thing made of backgrounds is in the top right.

#244: code is 7676 - james345678 - PW-1faR-wQbEI

A fun little minis level. I like how the minis are numbered and divided into little boxes. You really get to appreciate the space used in tiny worlds like this. Keys being used to trigger platforms here is rather satisfying, even if it makes the level harder to play in multiplayer, and potentially impossible if the key is being spammed. Unfortunately a few parts do require fitting into place, which slows things down, but this is otherwise quick and breezy to play.

#245: Lava Escape! [ON] - ruben247 - PW-1fiQQtfcEI

An exciting world where a player builds an escape as the lava rises! Or at least, that's what it would be, if it were actually on. The lobby and win area look pretty nice.
The level is by NEON NIGHT FALL CREW, and the description is "Aw shucks." It has 330 plays.

#246: Untitled World - uvaoo - PW-1iic5IWcUI

Another boxed mini level. This one is a bit worse than the others reviewed today, with sluggish minis. There's a slow dot trail surrounded by boosts, so no fun skipping allowed. A key section has you outright just wait 10 seconds. And if somebody else presses the key, it could be longer. The last three minis are a little better, with a maze where zombify and unzombify to pass through doors and gates, a pendulum jump, and a maze using switches this time. The level just ends, and I beat it in around 90 seconds. The last part almost redeems the level to a 2/5, but I feel the beginning is bad enough for a 1/5.
The visuals are kinda nice. Instead of going for overblown colorful blocks like Mineral or Plastic, or bland Basic blocks, it uses purple Brick blocks alongside their backgrounds for shading. It makes it somewhat like a "pro" level, though I realize that term is a bit arbitrary.
TURTLECAT1 thought this world was cool, but I feel this is the weakest of the mini levels I've played today.
