New Contest: Be Creative and Win Big Prizes! (APPLY HERE)

Alright, I'm not gonna go on and bore you about the specifics, here's the gist of it.

RULES:
- Must be really creative
- Can be any world size
- Cannot be pre-made
- Cannot be entered in another contest prior to or during this one
- Cannot be made with other users
- No Autobuilder
- Cannot be a boss, stairs, or box minigames

DATES:
9/25/11 - Applications/submissions will begin to be accepted
10/10/11 - Applications/submissions end
10/10/11 to 10/17/11 - Judging will take place
10/17/11 to ? - Prizes will be given out

PRIZES:
- 5 +rep from each judge
- A free spot in the 32Crew
- A signature made by me
- Anything else that you request of me that I can actually do

There need to be one hundred or less applicants.   Judges cannot also be applicants.

Ill be a judge, I suck at minis but am pro at art so I cant really build solo levels, im great at judging though

Wow judges go fast lol its been 10 min and we already got 3 judges, but no participants :/

also, shouldnt it be submissions instead of admissions?

and do the judges get anything?

While I certainly encourage creativity, aren't you actually stifling creativity with your rules?   You say it has to have both good art and good minigames.   Good art isn't necessary for creativity, especially if aspects of the level don't suit having good art.   An example would be my Tricolor map, which has limited use for art because of its reliance on long key block stretches.   Saying it has to have good minigames is also discouraging, because minigames are heavily used in many maps, either box minis or other types of minis.   It takes real originality to develop a playable map that doesn't rely heavily on minigames.

I'm not sure you're following.   You're rewarding creativity by basing your scoring system off of existing level types, ie art and minigames.   While it may well be the case that there won't be any truly groundbreaking new concepts, if any were to show up they wouldn't get credit under your scoring rules.

I still don't think you're following him.

Art and minigames != creative

Creative = something other than art and minigames, for instance his level "Downpour". The concept of using the smiley's trail to represent raindrops was the definition of creative.

A truly creative level is one that does NOT have art and minigames together.

The judging should be like this:

50% Concept and Originality
50% Fun
