Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

just something I want to say
Yesterday I was checking the lobby of EE, randomly choosing levels and I found one named "my art". Uh I was curious to see, what could it be, what could it be and what I found wasn't what I expected, I know that are literally thousands of this kind of levels everyday in the lobby, that is something I was expecting anyway and anytime but...the shame....the shame one have to indulge from others from such a innocent little level...I can't belive how mean can some be. I was reading the chat and random ppl with chat would join the level, without exception flaming or making fun of the owner, just because he was having fun on a game. I don't know about others, but as honest as your opinion my be, its a shame not to think at someones feelings before, I mean ...look at this...
yep, a innocent title on a level made by a innocent person, gets to be insulted, threatened and who knows what ...this is happening everyday on EE.
Now my question is, what do we expect from this kids? those who consider themselves "pro" and tend to insult others and act like the know it all of the earth, what do you guys want with them? to form the elite of EE? is this the purpose of EE? everyone must make perfect art and minis? and if they don't, they have to indulge everyone's mean remarks?
Stairs, sprite art, black boxed minis, smileys, who are you to judge? I would give more respect to a innocent noob than to you, a insulting, ignorant "pro", shame on you!

I would not a troll a bad level thats tried to be creative, kids dont really annoy me on this game. Its the teenagers who think their untalented work is amazing are the ones how annoy me. I try to encourage others to be creative, but some people have ignored the fact that most of the players on this game have a low understanding as what they can as they are kids. But it is shocking how bad their creatvity is today.
To make another point, the innocent little kids are the ones insulting. We are not.

The people that go around gloating about the fact that they think they're pro, tend not to be. But seriously i agree, if you go into a level you dont like, then just leave. There is no point having a go at the owner for it. I think the line of the week is:
It's just a game
So what if someone isnt as good as you. It's just a freaken game...!

That's why we should treat everyone equally and judge them not by their skills but by how fun they have when they play the game.
There are no noobs besides me.
when i was a nub i was jealous because some one made such epic smiley art and i bet that every one of you also did but we are just more advanced in ee becuase some people have been around for a long time but yh what dazz sayed it doesn't matter what they make if they have had fun then that is the point and i totaly agree with you dazz
I offend people sometimes int there level, but once their angry, and haven't kicked me, I talk to them about the diferences of being pro and noob. I bring them to my world. Then, as some of you may know, I teach them on making "pro" art and/orminis. There is one person I know on the forums that i have tought this stuff, and is now far better than me.
To compare this to real life:
Kid 1: Look at this cool new story I wrote. I put alot of time and effort into it, even though I'm not very good at writing.
Kid 2: This story sucks and you suck to!
Kid 3: You wrote this garbage?! Wow your pathetic.
Kid 4: Shame on you for writing such an un-original and lame story.
Kid 1: But I was only trying to have fun, it wasn't supposed to be "Top of the line wolds greatest fiction..."
Kid 2: Well if it's not good it sucks, and if it sucks you suck too.
Kid 1 cries and crumbles up the story and never writes again. Now thanks to these bullies no one will ever know if Kid 1 will ever be a good writer because even though he tried he was only shamed by his peers.
I also found have two good pieces for this on facebook
1. (I wrote this one) I believe the problem with bullying does not lie within the victims of the bullies, it is within the bullies themselves. Only when you can teach the bullies to be happy with themselves will they stop bullying. The more we treat kids like prisoners, the more they will act like prisoners. Im my opinion more choices should be taken that involve helping the bully become a better person, because if we rid the world of bullies there are no victims. Make sense?
2. (Found on my friends profile) A teacher was teaching her class about bullying and gave them the following exercise to perform. She had the children take a piece of paper and told them to crumple it up, stamp on it and really mess it up but don't rip it. Then she had them unfold the paper, smooth it out and look at how scarred and dirty it was. She then told them to tell it they're sorry. Now even though they said they we...re sorry and... tried to fix the paper, she pointed out all the scars they left behind, and that those scars will never go away no matter how hard they tried to fix it. That is what happens when a child bullies another child; they may say they're sorry but the scars are there forever. The looks on the faces of the children in the classroom told her the message hit home. Copy and paste and feel free to share if you are against bullying.
Interesting topic.

yeah but that's the idea, some of them are just "normal" users who play a game, not everyone wants to be a pro at it, an artist or a mini-maker, they just want to jump here and there or draw something silly, nothing more and we should respect that without trying to convince them that they should learn art and minis and get better at EE, whoever wants that could ask help or practice and learn like everyone else did.
To make another point, the innocent little kids are the ones insulting. We are not.
Show me a "noob" that insults you or someone without a reason, show me just one please. Most of them are provoked by others.

you are still a noob, we are all, just because someone is older, or joined EE 2 years ago or are better at making minis/art, they are still noobs, this game is changing all the time, we learn new things everyday, we are never pro's and no one will ever be even if they think so. And even if they know some extra things it doesn't mean they have the right to judge others for having fun.

why do you have to offend them, if you really want to tech them something isn't easier to ask them if they want instead of offending?

I don't mind if there are levels that include art which i don't like. You should also consider that there are kids who don't know much about Everybody Edits, but just have fun creating "noobish" levels, i think that is what EE is all about. Having fun. So what if you don't like the art? 'GOTO LOBBY' button really can't be away from your mouse...
why do you have to offend them, if you really want to tech them something isn't easier to ask them if they want instead of offending?
Because its the only way to get there attension. These people ignore you.

exactly easy and simple.

so you mean, is if I say to someone "you are an idiot" then tell him "I will help you" (just because you didn't kick me) is better than "hey I could give you some tips IF you want" ?
I don't get it, why would you want to offend anyone without a reason?
Besides, IF they ignore you you should do the same, nobody is forced to listen you or me if they don't want.

We should treat persons not by how good they are at making things or how good they are at playing. We should treat them by how they act in-game and how fun they have while playing. Even if someone made something that's not that good artwise or miniwise, he had the same amount of fun as someone who built a great art world or a great miniworld. And many of the ones that build so-called good levels have a worse personality than the ones who build ''nooby'' worlds.
The only thing that makes people flame persons are because they think that they have a higher place in this society, so they mock the ones that haven't succeded as well as they. This succesion makes many people rather stuckup, which makes them worse people than the ones who aren't as good at building. Which makes the self-declared good builders a part of the worst society in EE.
But even so we can't call them noobs, as according to me there exist no noobs. With one exeption. Me.
failgirl your right that was an interesting story
Most of the time when mean people make fun of my levels, they just make fun to make fun. they dont even play the world, they look at the map and asume that its bad cause it may not look good from the minimap. some worlds aren't suppose to look good from the minimap... so basically you can make a perfect world and mean people will still make fun of you. there is a difference between "feedback" and just straight up mean... most of the time the people that make fun, are just jealous
Meh.. I just wanted to write something so.. here it comes.
Remember when you were n00b? I do. Everything looked pretty amazing and creative. I even made my own stair level! However it was not saved, shame for me for that time . Ah the good ol' days. I would always try to catch King Of The Hill FFA, even though most of the challenges were quite mind hugging. I have never understood them in a time. For that time it looked like "This is impossible! How can people really do that?" and for a child, or let's say for a "I know everything, anyone else won't know anything" teens would think that would be impossible. Oh let's get a dictionary hmm... Now I see, impossible isn't pro, for their case. What they can see and they know how to do, but because of something, like lag, is stopping them to do it. That's what they would call pro.
For this case, the creator of that level could think that "all good art on ee is animated" and he would continue his sprite art or anything else. Because of it looks impossible for them, they wouldn't believe it is original, creative or pro. He would go in ee, do his sprite art, log out. That would be the fun for him. Don't you play good levels and have fun? That's the same thing for them.
As conclusion, lack of knowledge makes the differences between players. Well, humans think "What is unknown can be dangerous." right? For them, they don't know much about physics and they wouldn't want to know. Because they don't need it. Humans work for leaving us something precious. People like this don't understand that, and they won't be in search of new things until they understand this. Well, to tell the truth, I said they lack knowledge and to understand that they need knowledge. Paradox time! Yay! He he..

Here is another example of the quite frankly 'uncalled for'. All was going well then all of a sudden, out of no where.
Totally uncalled for, and in my opinion it was just jelousy. Because the funny thing was, the level wasnt all that bad. Enjoyable IMO.

Can people stop saying other people are jealous, its a annoying comeback and very false.

Bullying is sometimes about jealousy, but it's more like this.
Kid 1: Look at my new smiley art level! (Not knowing smilies are un-original)
Bully: Wow this level sucks and your art is lame. You didn't even try you just copied some smilies.
Kid 1: Shut up you don't know what your talking about! I DID spend a lot of time on this art even if it is copied it still took me a while.
Bully: Shut the **** up you noob **** you suck at art and you'll never make art.
Kid 1: /kick bully
Now is that bully jealous? Probably not. It's moreover a "who's better than who" type of situation. Where as the kid thinks he did well, even though the bully thinks is sucks. But even stairs and smiley art take effort so don't just downgrade it because you don't like it. I mean it's easy to criticize someone, but to praise them requires thought, and bullies don't think
I don't think the "pros" are meaning to be rude, just that they don't want to see their favorite game have every level after level contain almost exactly the same thing with just a different creator. Sure, they are having fun, but I really think it's cool to break from the mold and do something new.
I don't get mad at them, I just leave and think it's not worth my time to play something over and over. Sure, it was cool once, but it isn't the best that can go into it. Just leave and hope to find a better level.
What I really like to see is a level with a cool theme, take for example "Twilight Princess" has not the best art of minigames but it actually is a fun level instead of colored boxes and smileys.
The point is, they have the freedom to do whatever, but if you're proud enough of your level you made, it shouldn't make a difference what other people think.
P.S. They CAN'T claim they thought they were being original though, as almost every world you enter has the same stuff. I'm fairly sure they are just following what other people are doing and trying to make it popular.
I don't think the "pros" are meaning to be rude, just that they don't want to see their favorite game have every level after level contain almost exactly the same thing with just a different creator.
Maybe they do not mean to be rude, but it really is rude to visit someone's level and immediately and verbally deem the level to be garbage, right in front of the owner, rather than offering constructive criticism or moving on to a world they think they might enjoy more. I know that you don't do this as you have stated but I've seen my share fair of people who think themselves "pros" do it.
I agree that many levels that are popular in the lobby are indeed very similar, but people shouldn't be looked down upon for lacking creativity. Perhaps the people really just aren't very good at mini-making or art-making (more specifically, the type of mini- and art-making that is forum-popular) at all, so they choose to do something that will not only make their level popular in the lobby, but is easy and fun to make. In EE, it's socially okay for people to be bad at art-making, but good at mini-making, or vice versa - but it's not socially okay to be bad at both and still try to make levels. If they instead make levels with bad art and bad minis, but try to mimic the style of "pros" - is it much different from when they copy stair levels? Undoubtedly, there are many stair-level makers who have lots of potential to be "good" mini-makers or art-makers in the eyes of forum frequenters, but have simply not (for lack of a better word) discovered their EE talents yet.
I'm sorry if I come off as arrogant - I could be wrong about a lot of this.
No one has any room to disapprove, because we were all bad creators at some point.
I encourage others for making smileys and art, and congratulate them on their work, not belittle them. They are young and need guidance, not verbal abuse.
Next time you see a level that is labeled "art" or something among that, and it contains smileys, congratulate the owner for it. Sprites, maybe not, but anything other than sprites, is effort.
