Why don't you alter the bunny for the public or make a new one, because normally a smiley is released for each holiday. It is unfair to holiday smileys to contest winners and not the players.

Suggestion: Make the winners bunny completely white (bunny colour) and the publics one the normal yellow colour (the original) Then we will know who won

don't ever release the prizes, then noone would bother to make a good map for upcoming contests; only hasty half-attemps.

Excuse me? Morons? No ones going to risk doing hasty half-attempts.   No ones going to be stupid to do that.   Besides, a lot of people do this stuff for fame and the energy.   I agree with the delay and gems, but don't make the gems crazy like the Big Spender.   Make it maybe like 100-200 gems.

Oh, and another suggestion, unless I'm reading the prizes incorrectly.   I think the idea of turning the winners energy to 500 or 1000 is ridiculous.   I think their energy should be added by 1000 or 500.   Especially for people who already have more than the prize.

Umm.. im not sure if this is what your getting at, but the energy is additive, so by monday ( or whenever chris updates the game form contest ) i will have 298 ( right now ) + 500 ( from second place )

Am I the only one who thinks that there should be other types of contests? I want EE competitions that place the top 20 players at obstacles and bosses.

And penguin, I remember that happening once...you had to go through an obstacle course chris set up and the first place got +X energy.

I would like more of those, though sadly room limitations are very limited, to 45 people.

And penguin, I remember that happening once...you had to go through an obstacle course chris set up and the first place got +X energy.

I would like more of those, though sadly room limitations are very limited, to 45 people.

Maybe there would be like 10 rooms or whatever, having one mod per room.   I'm not sure, but I don't think all contests should be all about making worlds.

My proposed solution would be to have the normal bunny smiley in the shop and just... completely forget about the bird smiley because that thing looks like crap. Or just give winners the bird smiley. Something like that.

Winners have to feel like winners, right? Why can't they be proud of it without all this complaining? Just don't release the smileys is my opinion.. *..very annoyed..*

It doesn't fix any of the issues people have. It will still be some people having 1 or 2 more smilies, it just gives everyone else a free one.

Plus:
- People will not have learned their lesson
- More work for Chris to implement and distribute all the smilies
- More work for RPG to create another smiley
- In the future, this would cause even more work for the judges because EVERYONE will join the competition when they know they'll get a free smiley

Why does everyone need the smilies? I don't have the new year smiley nor the bricks for christmas and new year. I'm still happy.
And why does everyone complain about this now?
When the contest started and everyone got about the smileys none said anything about it. Why? Can it be because the kids can't lose a contest with their bunny smileys and stairs in their world?

I'm glad to see that this topic is still going strong, lots of valuable information and opinions for me to take note of here.

The way I see it, adding the smilies as exclusive prizes was something new that I wanted to try for this contest to see what kind of responses I would get from raising the stakes a bit. Now that I've seen your responses to this, I'm fairly convinced that the next contest will see a definite change in terms of exclusive prizes.

I'm still a bit on the edge as to what to do with the whole situation regarding the smilies won by the current top 10 winners since there seems to be a lot of divided opinions out there. There's also the need for a properly defined system for future contests but there also seems to be a lot of divided opinions on that as well since certain people want it be purely based on either judging or voting, or both.

I'm still gonna check out this topic since you guys generate very valuable discussion points. Keep it up!

So the general consensus so far is that eventually releasing the smileys after a couple of months for a certain amount of gems is alright with the winners? Gonna need all the winners to post here so that I can gauge your opinions.

more gem exclisive stuff, WHY??? just release it for energy, the winners get it for free, get the energy, and (most importantly) the PRIDE of winning. (but i know it is NOT that simple!!!:mad:)

Well, the winners didn't really get it for free.   If they have to work for the smiley, so do we.   This includes raking up money to buy gems or to do surveys.   Either way it's work for both smiley holders.   Having people easily just clicking the energy buttons every 24 hours isn't exactly fair.

Instead of exclusive distribution, there should be more easy energy usage.   You could possibly lower the energy rate (amount of energy in the 2.5 min)? Make them get 1 energy in every 2.25 minutes? Or give them free gems, like 50 or something for first place.   Or give them a special coupon or discount thing xD.   I don't know, but you get the idea.

Smiley problem: Basically i think, like treejoe mentioned, that there should be two bunnies with only diffferent colors (It is very easy to change colors). The winners get one and the other one is released in the energy store for easter. This would lead to a smaller change between winners and non-winners although the winners can still show off their exclusiveness. The bird smiley should remain for top5.

Winning just energy imo is quite boring though so I would suggest something more interesting that isn't a smiley, maybe a custom glow or an eastery trail (if it was for the easter event).

Judging system: For this I believe a poll should be opened about 3 days, during signups, where the players can vote for the system of voting the best maps. This would get an easy general solution
